3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Falling Rock - the name is truth in advertising - seriously in your face beer - this is one of those IIPAS that blur the line into hoppy barley wine territory - sticky sweet malt base is counterbalanced by a huge assault of citrusy, resinous hops - oily and simultaneously sticky (weird) - some notes of sweet orange, vanilla, a hint of spicy/woody/almost oak character - surprisingly low acidity let’s the flavor of the hops come through, despite the high bitterness - intense but not abrasive.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ Falling Rock. Pours dark reddish brown with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, pine and floral hops. Taste is heavy caramel, piny hops, grapefruit. Medium body, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Nice IIPA, but to sweet to be really good. The hops is there, but the malt base is to sweet. Not bad in anyway tho. 040311
