Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

UPDATED: APR 25, 2014 From the tap at Beverage World, this is a deliciously well-crafted DIPA. This pours a light burnished bronze colour, with a full frothy head. Fruity lime and zest on the nose are followed by loads of hop complexity on the palate with grass, pine, celery, and grapefruit, mingling with hints of malty glazed doughnut flavours. Substantial but balanced mouthfeel, with rich, bright, bitter finish, leaving a white pepper, citrus, and grassy aftertaste. This is an excellent hop-heavy DIPA!

Had it on tap at Jerry’s Sandwich Shop, pours a classic clear amber hue. This by far is the most floral aroma beer I’ve ever whiffed. I mean it just smells pretty, and it had to be one of the hoppiest beers ever!

12oz bottle from Georgio’s Liqour, Billerica, MA. Golden amber with a thick cream head; fresh, spicy, hoppy aroma; an unsurprisingly strong hoppy taste with some underlying grapefruit; and a long lingering green hopped finish. This does exactly what it says on the bottle, and very nicely too.

On tap at Brunzies. Wonderful hop aromas, funky, grassy, with hop oils and apricot. Dark golden amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation and light warming. Starts moderately sweet with caramel and sugar, huge hop flavors. Gets aggressively bitter toward the finish and leaves a big bitter after with lingering sweet notes.

Bottle 12 oz. Pours amber with low light beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is of tropical fruits, pine, citrus. Taste is of pine, tropical fruits, citrus, sharp bitterness, alcohol. Palate: medium body. Medium carbonation. Slightly sticky mouthfeel. Overall: Good, but a tad heavy on alcohol. Not sessionnable (but then again, if there was "session" in the name of the beer, I guess it would be (c.f. sessiongate))

Grapefruit blast in second half. Nice apricot caramel nose with some sweetness at the very beginning. Slightly deeper/thicker than expected at beginning, and overall a heavier beer than I was expecting. Thicker mouth feel. Woah 9.5%. Like woah. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber with copper reflexions, lacey. Full body, very flavorful, rich and smooth, hides alcohol well, lingering aftertaste. Bitter, balanced with subtle sweetness, Intense grapefruit taste, hopy, malty. Quite intense and delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
