Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Great beer. Sweet malty start with a pleasant bitter ending. Real bitter ending. Might be a tad to bitter. All in all an awesome beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours medium dark amber with little to no head. Aroma of pine, resin and hops. Taste is very piney with some resin / oily notes. Good hop taste with strong bitterness, but well incorporated. Smooth for the high ABV. Smooth mouthfeel with average carbonation. Very good beer.

Bottle into Spiegelau ipa glass. Poor is clear orange amber with large off white head. Aroma is giant pine and resin, lemon, some sweetness. Taste is huge pine, resin, grassy, earthy, some citrus. I really think this will affect my palate.

Amber pour with white head. Nose laden with mango, grapefruit, orange, pine, caramel malt, and booze. Flavor is soapy pine, mango, tropical fruit, orange meat, bitter citrus rind, and a boozy caramel malt backbone. Residual pinesol and bitter citrus rind. Big on the palate. Fine line between good and too much.

Very good IPA. Very bitter. One of the hoppiest beers I have had. Would like to have it again.

Pours copper with a large off-white head. Smells strongly of juicy citrus and hints of caramel. Taste is bitter, strongly bitter, with hints of pine and sweet malt. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Green Flash Palate Wrecker finishes with a sweet lingering bitterness.

12 oz. bottle. Pours an amber orange with a soapy khaki head that slowly settles to a thin film. Aroma has strong pine grapefruit some herbal qualities and sweet malt. Taste is very bitter resinous hops of pine spruce grapefruit faint unripe apricots and some herbal notes in the finish. Palate is medium with good carbonation and a dry bitter finish. Pretty solid!
