Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Another great brew from Greenflash. It poured a hazy golden orange with a white head. Big fruity hop aroma and powerful hop taste. Very tasty!

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a creamy off white head that diminishes to a lasting ring leaving good lacing. Huge aroma of mint, pine, citrus. Medium sweet and heavy bitter, bitter that stays and builds into the far finish especially on the back edges of my tongue. Average to soft carbonation, orange rind sort of bitterness, medium body, oily to creamy texture. Excellent for a hot summer day.

It says something about craft beer when I was able to pick up a bottle of this at the local fish market, one that 10 years ago would have featured strictly white wines. Poured a very slightly hazy orange gold, good head. Aroma was a blast of pine and grapefruit citrus, with some tangerine notes. Flavor matched, but it had a solid malt backbone - very clean, but just enough sweetness to keep the bitterness from overwhelming. Darn tasty.

One of the most bitter DIPA’s I’ve had. Great citrus aroma, nasty strong bitter hoppy taste with a lasting aftertaste. Great Imperial, truly for hop heads only though.

It’s an extremely hoppy beer but it still tastes surprisingly smooth. A phenomenal IPA.

Amber to orange pour with a tall dense off white head a small amount of visible carbonation holding it up. Big fresh holy aroma lots of citrus a touch floral a fair amount of caramel. Full well coated palate. Flavor carries a lingering but not overpowering bitterness. A great beer for those who like hop forward flavor a bit acidic after the swallow. Overall good stuff.

Cloudy amber color with white head. Big fruity hop aroma with citrus, mango and pineapple. Big hop forward taste. Starts off a citrus then a caramel malt middle then BOOM! Huge pine hop flavor and massive bitterness. The bitterness lingers on the palate. This is the most bitter beer I’ve had in a while.

Pours a hazy, dark burnt orange with a reddish hue. Has a frothy cream colored head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Very good looking beer. Aroma is packed with big hops, pine resin, faint notes of citrus. Taste is intensely bitter. Beer coats your whole palate in a sheet of bitter hops. I had this beer a couple years ago and I don’t remember being this intense. Finish has a bit of citrus rind and molasses to it. Mouthfeel is full and well carbonated. Overall this beer is very good for what it is. Definitely not for everyone.

On tap at Chucks in Seattle. Hop floral aroma. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Good mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Very good wrecker of palate.
