COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

For hop lovers only! Bright golden to orange color heavy lacing on glass, aroma of citrus and pepper with tad of leather. Malts are there but hop dominant of course. Well balanced long lasting bitterness. Perfect.

Bottle pour at home, dark golden pour, bitter hop aroma, lot of bite in this one, kind of roasted hop, solid hop bomb.

On tap at Thirsty Monk. Light fruity aroma. Big bitter taste with some citrus fruit. Goes great with my spicy taco.

Bottle. So this is what 149 IBU’s feels like… eagerly awaited I finally grabbed a fresh bottle at Brewer’s Haven. Great clarity in a golden orange pour and topped with a thick and creamy sandy head. The nose is a little subdued, imo, a blend of citrus, tropical fruit, and pine. It’s potent, but a smooth bitterness. Sort of resembles a syrupy citrus and tropical fruit and piney hop bomb. Lingering hoppy bitters, but not edgy. It’s loaded with hops and bitterness, but it really doesn’t scream bitter. Quite drinkable.

Pretty hoppy. Close to hop devil. Actually it's a little more bitter on the finish. I'd definitely get this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Huge tropical nose, berries, apple. Rich caramel malt, deep citrus hoppiness, apricot, bread, bittersweet finish. Much smoother than i expected, nice caramel/fruity hop balance.

Bottle while in Florida. Aroma is sweet overripeness, with trop fruit and a little veg. It's nicely balanced with pine, grapefruit bitterness and just a touch of sweetness. Finishes well, nice bitterness. Really nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pours hazy amber orange with a bubbly off white head. aroma is floral, citrus, pine, the hophead trifecta. Wow! The taste is complex. It comes at you in waves. Bitter throughout, but first bright and citrusy, then floral and mildly bittersweet, then into a long bitter finish. Great nasal linger as well. Everything I love in a top shelf IPA. This is one of the best I’ve ever had. Outstanding!

Wow Green Flash. Never disappoint. Pours liquid copper with a just off white head (lace). Fresh potent aromas:caramel, hay, cereal, roasty, resin, floral, spruce, dough, cheese, alcohol, banana, butterscotch, grape fruit, layers of awesome. Taste is so balanced for such a hoppy beer. Palate is near perfect just a bit over sticky (picking nits here). What an awesome brew.

Pours golden, thin white head. Aromas of hay, light fruits (apples, grapes). This lives up to its name! Strong bitter - really hits the tongue, medium-light sweet. Medium body, crisp. Not someone who seeks out the high IBUs but this was still a nice brew.
