3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma of apricot, bitter weed, and floral. Pours deep orange with a medium head. Taste is very bitter with grapefruit seed, floral and a bitter malt. Good but not in large quantity.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pours clear dark gold with a fluffy white head. Aromas are of grapefruit, tangerine and pineapple. The tastes are hop juice and more hop juice...lots of hops up front, in the middle, and on the finish. Not overly bitter, as the malts balance it out well for what it is. Body is medium with a long hoppy bitter finish. Overall a great DIPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2013 Had roughly 4oz pour from draft - poured a light copper color with a small white head. Aroma was bitter hop notes. Flavor was a very bitter hop character. Touch soapy notes in aroma. Flavor is, well, a palate wrecker. Bitter and resiny. Quite good this time around.
Original review: There was a slight astringent character going on that I didnít particularly care for, but iím not sure if that was perhaps the glass or the beer itself. Rating: 3.3

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma: Dank; pungent; herbal; catty; pine/menthol; melon; apple/kiwi; grapefruit. Ridiculously layered and complex hop profile that continues to unfold over time as the beer settles into the glass.
Flavor - BITTER. Bourbon-like; molasses; toasted walnuts; toffee; wood-bark; grapefruit; resin; candy sugar.
Overall: A perfectly conceptualized beer that is simply way too intense for my palate. The most bitter beer Iíve ever had. Difficult to drink. Very astringent.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle poured to a shaker at Lunar Brewing Co. displaying a clear, bright, deep golden color, with a very persistent and bountiful, off white head, and clingy, lasting ribbons & spots of lacing. The aroma was expressive citrus, mid-fruit, a touch of pine, and some light sweetness. The flavor presented an earthy, rind-like, full, tongue coating hop bitterness and an abundance of malt that took a little edge off the sting, gave it a little sweetness and silkiness, and kept it from becoming too much of an abrasive hop bomb,... which is the way I like a DIPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ home, courtesy of OCBeerSociety. Thanks! I think this is now in Colorado, so if itís any good, Iíll be happy to pick up a 4 pack of it. Always exciting to try a different Green Flash brew. A touch hazy, darkish orange appearance with a nice, cream colored head and good lacing. Big piney, pretty spicy, somewhat resiny aroma with a nice grapefruit element that really showcases the hops nicely. Orange cream citrusy, very delicious rich peach/passion fruit/grapefruit citrusy, big resiny, a big toasty malty flavor with a lingering grapefruity, bitter finish. Quite nice beer though maybe not quite as good as some of their other IPAs.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Out of a 12 oz. bottle in a tulip glass. Dank earth combines with fruit on the nose. Alcohol gives a warning from the aroma, like a cognac. Color is autumnal orange, deep and late harvest. Clear as can be with a nice white head. Very bitter with earth and citrus. The citrus is restrained by the bitterness. Bittering follows all down the palate. Hard to get much more out of this. The 9.5% is slightly hidden!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle from a 4pack purchased at Spirits Point. Poured a clear sunburnt orange body with some clinging bubbles and a large frothy bright white head, nice rings of lace on my CCB snifter. Aroma of fresh orange slices, dried torpical fruits, cirus rind, lemon zest, bread crusts. Palate is very dry overall with a medium mouthfeel, average to stronger carbonation, long lingering bitterness on the aftertaste. Flavor is rather dry with notes of dry citrus rinds, dry toast, yellow grapefurit, lemon zest, apricott skins, bread crusts. Good stuff.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Palate wrecker pours a orange-amber color with a 2 finger off-white head. Before I finished pouring this beer I got massive citrus and pine notes and a slight cat pee smell. The taste is bitter and I mean bitter but in a good way. I did not taste the alcohol initially but I can feel a slight burn on the way down. Overall an extremely, enjoyable and super hoppy west coast IPA.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draught at TJís: Aroma of hops, pine, resin, orange, nectarine, citrus, hop oil, grapefruit, and bitterness. Poured orange in color with a medium-sized, creamy, loose, tan head that greatly diminished but lasted around the edges. Lightly hazy. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, resin, pine, citrus, grapefruit, and light grass. Medium body. Oily, then lightly dry texture. Average to slightly lively carbonation. Hop, resin, pine, hop oil, citrus, grapefruit finish is lightly dry. 9.5%ABV is completely hidden throughout. A very good Imperial IPA.
