3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml bottle (White Horse, Parson’s Green)
Classic biscuity US IPA. Rich orange, small head. Really sweet , citrussy, zesty, sherbetty, like refreshers sweeties. All of that within 1s of entering the mouth. Oddly, this has good balance considering. Way too sweet, but kinda good.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A-- Poured a clear, golden orange color. Moderate aggressive pour resulted in a three finger eggshell white head. Took it’s time in receding, leaving a good amount of lacing on the sides of the glass. Good half ring and soapy streaks. Head finally settled to a good half finger of thick foam.
S-- Boiled pineapple, bubblegum, lots of pine, resin and hippie lettuce. Malt? Who needs malt with this! Powerful, straight at you nose.
T-- Grilled, honey covered pineapple, more bubblegum and a whole pine tree. Very thick and ripe candied and stewed orange and pineapple in the back of the taste.
M-- Full bodied would be an understatement. Over the top might best way to put it. Low carbonation? Yep. Oily and coating. Over indulged on pine I think. Palate raping, dream crushing and just plain over the top like a Nicholas Cage movie.
O-- Good looking and smelling. Rest is crazy. Not a session beer. Slow sipper while pondering why go to these extremes for the sake of going there. One dimensional and goes from first gear to 4th.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is what I would have to call my beer of the Cincinnati 2012 Brew Ha Ha. Citrus hops with notes of Mangos, Pinapple, and grapefruit. I also get faint hints of pine and grass. Nice thick palate, great lacing. Sweet flavor and nice bitter bite.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Golden amber with a white head. Big aroma of pine hops with grapefruit, caramel, toffee and alcohol. Taste has more of the same, quite sherry like fruitiness, raisins and dried fruits with lots of caramel and grapefruit and pine. Syrupy sweet with a big bitterness that cuts through the weight. Very nice, teeters the line between dipa and an American barley wine.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle poured into a tumbler pint glass.
A: Pours a dark copper color with moderate yeast haze. The head is a two finger offwhite color with a frothy texture and good retention. A thick wall of lacing is left nicely on the glass.
S: Quite malty - oh who the hell am I kidding, this is loaded with insane hoppiness. Grapefruit rind, pine, dankness, weed, onions, and even some black pepper all mingle on the nose. Basically, anything one might expect in an extreme DIPA is all here. Only the slightest hint of caramel malts break up the hop assault.
T: And there we go, this is really bitter from the hops. There isn’t much citric qualities here, this is almost entirely piny, floral, resinous, and faintly metallic. Touches of caramel malt in the midtaste try in vain to balance things, but are quickly overtaken by massive finishing bitterness and booze.
M: Heavy and a little syrupy; I prefer my DIPAs to be a little lighter and more delicate. This doesn’t have a particularly clean finish, but make no mistake, this still turns the palate into scorched earth with gobs and shitloads of hop oils and resin. As a result, it’s very difficult to drink a bottle of this quickly. Moderately high carbonation and extreme dryness.
O: If you don’t like overly bitter DIPAs, avoid this like the plague. If this is the kind of DIPA you’re looking for (a completely unbalanced palate killer), then there are few better. Basically, if you’re the kind who loves Dave’s Insanity Sauce (guilty), then this will be right up your alley.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark golden-amber body, medium sized off-white head, soapy lacing. Grapefruit, grass, pine, and caramel malts come through in the nose. Flavor is similar with a pronounced bitterness drowning out the actual flavors. Medium to full bodied, moderate carbonation, bitter finish. Not my favorite IPA/dIPA from Green Flash.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. A clear pale amber beer, with a large, frothy/creamy, fully lasting off-white head. The aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), moderately to heavily hoppy (grapefruit, pine, resin), with notes of mango, pineapple, alcohol, hint of butter. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/creamy texture, lively carbonation, very long finish with heavy bitterness, moderately alcoholic. Above the average in every aspect, without being stellar. On one hand is overly palate wrecking to finish the whole bottle without a little fatigue, on the other it’s aromatic, fruity and good looking.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
355 ml bottle @ Akkurat. Pours tiny hazy deep golden with a rather small frothy offwhite head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet, malty and hoppy with caramel, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, orange zest, bread, alcohol, unripe mango, pineapple and hints of pine and resinous wood. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and hoppy with caramel, pine, bread, wood, grass, grapefruit rinds, peaches, mango, resin, pineapple and hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is smooth, round, slightly oily bitter and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with pine, caramel, grapefruit rinds, peaches, mango and bread.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle - Assault of the senses, huge hop nose with pine, grapefruit and sweetness. Clear amber with a rich thick never ending head. Ton’s of hop flavours, again piney with grapefruit and sweetness. A nice bitterness follows the flavours through. Oily on the tongue. Not a sessionable beer, but a fantastic finish to your palate.
