Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Extremely solid and well-’rounded’ IIPA. Bitterness is sustained throughout the gulp. Aftertaste is a bit fiery from alcohol, which is nice. Good stuff.

Hazy orange color out of the bottle with a short lived off white head. Big hop resin nose. Thick syrupy beer. Burning hop sensation with lots of grapefruit, orange zest and lots of malts to underpin all the hops. Not a real palate killer, but damn tastey.

On bottle. A hazy pale golden orange color with a small white head that slowly fades. Lots of resin, pine and grassy notes accompanied with some fruity notes and malt. Medium to heavy body with taste hints of pine and grass followed by a heavy citrus/grapefruit feeling. A big bitterness that stays. A very tasty heavy beer but still fresh and easy to drink. A real palate wrecker if you start with this beer to early on in your beer drinking day.

Bottle. Clear deep amber liquid with medium to large, firm off-white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is really hoppy with notes of pine, citrus, caramel malt, biscuits, grapefruit and some tropical fruit. Taste is dry and high bitter with caramel and citrus. No metallic bitterness even though it’s very high. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice stuff, but a bit too malt driven for me. Could have used more aroma hops.

Dark yellow pour w/ frothy white head. Huge aromas of orange & pine- love it! Sticky lacing down the glass. Flavor is lots of hops! Bitter orange pith, more pine, even a hint of lime zest towards the end. Creamy, yet light mouthfeel. Finishes pretty dry & bitter. Good!

Bottle from my homie up in VA. Pours clear golden with a decent off-white head and okr lacing. Smell is grapefruit, pine, orange and peach. Taste is intitially sweet and with citrus fruits, peach, resin and nice caramel backing. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. Ends up dry and decent bitter. A very nice IIPA.

Bottled. A pale amber beer with a huge lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of hops, hops, and more hops, as well as caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, hay, alfa acids, caramel, and malt, leading to a very bitter finish.
