COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Aroma- huge astringency, grapefruit, pineapple, peaches Appearance- rust orange, opaque, incredible lacing, nice fluffy white head Taste- massive astringent bitterness upfront, clean, fruity middle with pineapple, peaches, and blood orange, unreal bitterness on the backend Palate- wrecked Overall- Lives up to the name. Very potent, not especially drinkable but in a good way. Hop bomb not for the faint of heart. Get some.

certainly seems more than 100 ibu. Just too bitter. Better done than other super high bitter beers, there is some taste. Golden red colour. Not my favourite great DIPA.

Aroma is a lot of pine with some citrus. Pours a golden amber with a nice off-white head. Taste is pine and caramel with a ton of hops. Very good.

Excellent double ipa. Amber gold body, bright and clear. Medium carbonation, medium body. Excellent length focusing on the hop bitterness.

Bottle. Crystal clear, textbook amber color, nicely bubbly, with a firm head of tight foam. The aroma is loaded with piney, wet-forrested hops. This drinks with a "wrecker" of an approach indeed ... an all-out assault on the taste glands, rich with alcohol, phenol, and resin. Definitely a sipper, not a gulper. I think you might be able to kindle a fire with this stuff. (#4593, 5/8/2012)

Not as aggressive as I would have thought From the name. Crisp clean pour, and a great hop not...not overly bitter or floral. Absolutely would get another. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear gold, white head. Nose is pine, candied orange peel, honey like malt, cotton candy & alcohol. Flavor is pine, solid caramel maltiness, candied orange, light tropical fruit, very strong bitterness. Lingering pine & bitterness in the finish.

22 oz bottle purchased at Lukas Liquors in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is a slight haze copper orange with a one inch light tan head. As the beer falls, nice spidery lacing left behind. The aroma is bright hops, full resin, spice garlic, and citrus pineapple fruit. The taste has resin caramel malt, along with a blast of the garlic, spice and tropical fruit hops of the nose. I was expecting a bit more vibrancy in the taste based on the nose, I certainly like the nose on this better than the taste. The palate is medium bodied, fair amount of booze in the long, sweet, finish.

Draught Nearly no head, clear copper beer. Intense citrusaromas. Near to a citrusliqueur with orange peel or orange marmalade. Very powerful, but strangely not exaggerated. A bit empty palate, feels thinnish, probably very well attenuated. Better balanced than ne name tries to suggest.

Caramel-orange pour with a thin head and nice lacing. Hops galore. Pine-orange citrus. Quite refreshing.
