4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12oz bottle from Andersons in Toledo. Orange pour with a 1/2 inch white head. Aroma is big hops, citrus, oily, pine, resin. Taste is aggressively hoppy (shocking) - pine with caramel malts, biscuit and grapefruit somewhere in there beyond the bitter. Little warmth. Finishes an even resin bitter. Quite good and suits its name. Still have to give the nod to ruination for wrecking my palate - but this is a better beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber from Ridgewood Wine & Beer, Raleigh. Was looking forward to this brew big-time and was mildly disappointed (though the hop dropoff may well have been extremely rapid with this beer). Deep copper pour with a thick creamy head. Nose of blooming flowers, ripe citrus, and some booze too. Body is nice and healthy, palate a bit hot. Flavors, though, seemed a bit washed out, with paper, tea, and grain undermining the hop potency. Okay, and would relish the opportunity to try if/when I know it’s super fresh.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that settles slowly leaving some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine and grapefruit with some caramel. Taste is piney and grapefruity hop bitterness balanced very nicely with a caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with plenty of carbonation leaving a nice tingle on the tongue. A very high quality brew that is worthy of tasting many times.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bright orange transparent pour. Juicy, extremely hoppy nose, with sweet mandarin and a bit of butterscotch behind. This one is definitely all about the hops. Flavor confirms – just enough malts to balance, and not a bit more. Huge pine resin and citrus rind notes. Juicy, with a dry, bitter after. Very tasty.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Interesting. Not a lot of hop aroma. Very very bitter, with a bitter hop flavour underneath. Its got a ton of hops in it, but not very pleasant. Good upper limit for hoppiness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
355 ml bottle @ Naamat, Tampere.
Pours a copper orange colour with a firm white head. Aroma of grass, floral hops, hay and gooseberry bush. Flavour of caramel malts, hay, bitter hops, grass and gooseberry bush. Medium bodied, dry mouthfeel and a bitter, warming and caramel finish. Finishes bitter and light sweet. Quite heavy and musty, not refreshing at all.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2012 355 ml bottle @ Naamat, Tampere.
Pours clear copper color with small head. Aroma of exotic fruits, hops, sweet caramel, floral notes and malts. Flavour of fruits, caramel, malts, goose berries and hints of hay. Stuffy, a bit sweet and caramelly. Definitely a disappointment.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle, I think as a bonus but not sure from whom, maybe Alan. Clear bold amber with a nice one finger white head that settles to a thin head. A very nice combination of malt and on first blush sweet hops; wet, resin and pine, ripe grapefruit - very interesting "mush" of hops without overwhelming. Moderate to high carbonation, fairly full body, becomes quite bitter but not too much so, dries out the palate to leave a nice resiny coating, lots of malt and hops. Quite tasty.
