3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22-JUL-2012, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer".
Dark golden and orange with lasting, lacing, tan head.
Very hoppy with notes of grape fruit and pine. On the earthy side...
...but even fruity notes like apricot.
Quite creamy. Not all that alcoholic for a 9,5% brew.

Bottle, pours golden with medium off white head. Aroma is loads of grapefruit, some pine, some sweet peach and some sweet caramel. Taste is also loads of bitter grapefruit, some pine, some peach and tropical fruits and some sweet malts. Very bitter, medium sweetness, medium mouthfeel.

On bottle at Olympen.
Dark golden color, some foam.
Intense hoppy aromas - very piney.
Full body & high complexity.
High viscosity. Sweetness , with some bitterness.
Enjoyable & powerful- but a bit to sweet for my taste

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A - Pours a clear copper-amber color with a finger of frothy off white head atop. The head fades down fairly slowly leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of strong pine and tropical hops with lots of grapefruit, floral, and resin smells, with some caramel and biscuit malts and a touch of booze.
T - Starts off with some strong pine and tropical hops and bitterness alongside some sweet caramel malts. Through the middle, the resiny hop flavor gets stronger with stronger bitterness and a bit of biscuit malt. The finish is a mix of pine hops and bitterness with some sweet malts and a bit of booze.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth and resiny with a dry, bitter, and lightly warming finish.
D - Very drinkable. I really like the strength of the hops in this one and the bitterness. Does not get out of control though.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange and gold pour with an off white head. Citrus and pine with some maltiness on the edge. It’s good, but nowhere near the name of a palate wrecker.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (355 ml). Thanks to THECPJ for this one! Amber with a huge frothy head that diminish to leave a small persistent off-white head with fair lacing. Aroma is grassy with hops, malt and slight fruit notes. Taste is medium sweet, strong and lengthy grass/herbal, pine, malt/caramel and fruits. Strong long lasting bitterness. Mouthfeel is dry and grassy. Good DIPA, but nothing outstanding. Probably the most grassy beer that I’ve drank so far though.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Casa De Oro. Pine and citrus. I can smell a hint of alcohol as well. Highly hopped. Quite tasty. Somewhat dry and spicy, with only a hint of sweetness. Full bodied with a good amount of a malty backbone. Good brew.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle:   Fireweed honey colored, hazy, large frothy off-white head, nice lacing.   Big pithy and citrus zest on the nose.   Very bright.   Not as bright on the tongue, but very much pithy and full of citrus peel.   Not a big malty example, so its a little tilted towards hop-sided.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate as a result.   Very pithy finish, bright citrus peel, hoppy, moderate bitterness.   This one would be a hop lovers delight as its seemingly hop-sided, but for me I wanted it to be a bit more chewy.   For what it is, very respectable, clean, and certainly one of the bigger pithy IIPAs out there.
