4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: APR 16, 2012 Solid dipa for sure. Would like to taste side by side with West Coast. Nice resin and orange pith on nose. Grapefruit rind bitterness but I think my palate is still intact. Dangerously drinkable...reminds me a lot of Founders Double Trouble but I prefer this.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled @ GABF! Not sure this one lived up to the bill...burnt tangerine pour with a small ivory head. Aroma of bright citrus, tropical fruit, and pine. Flavor just didn’t live up to the nose. Lots of sharp hops but the caramel is a bit much and softens the blow. Wanted my eyes to cross and unfortunately, they stayed focused and forward. Descent bitter finish. Not bad.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(on tap at brewery). Pours copper color with off-white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Taste is slightly sweet, but not as overpowering on the hops as I expected. Medium bodied with bitter finish. Decent DIPA that hides the alcohol well.

Clear amber with a medium to large beige head. The nose met a shitload of hops, pine, grapefruit, lemon and toasted malt. Flavour was packed with hops, pine, grapefruit, lemons and toasted malt. Dry and and fairly good body. FInished dry and bitter.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A decent offering, well worth the money and i’d possibly get it again. Just didn’t knock my socks off. Lies, in no way did it wreck my palate, if anythign, my palate was bored looking for the hops. meh

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at Blind Tiger. Pours a deep copper. Offwhite head. Nose is huge and aromatic. Notes of citrus, pine, tropical fruits. Some caramel in there as well. On taste, it is very abrasive, overly so. But it does live up to its name. As it goes on, the caramalt really starts to come through and make it unpleasant. Not really a fan.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
draft. dark copper colored body. unclean yeast-heavy nose of crystal malt and perfume/chemicals. rough and messy malt texture, rough and disjointed carbonation, very harsh edges with noticeable "crunch", finishing with orange and pine-flavored (and solvent) bittering hops across the back.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Location: Tap at RnH, 4/2/10
Aroma: The nose has lots of pine and resiny hops to it, some grass, some melon
Appearance: It has a clear golden-orange appearance, and the head leaves lots of lace
Flavor: The taste is medium-sweet up-front with a nice long, smooth bitter finish
Palate: The mouthfeel is really smooth, an enjoyable drink, with a long duration
This one has a very nice fresh, hoppy feel to it. Another really nice Double IPA out of the San Diego area. Its no surprise, but I never get sick of these. I liked this one quite a bit, very solid stuff.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Color is a brownish yellow, aroma and flavor both are very malty, lots of caramel and loads of hops. Glorious beer. I love this brewery! on tap at the brewery.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Possably the purest expression of fresh hops in the nose. Wonderfully brittle mouthfeel. Super dry piney hops with a very dry finish. To spate the superfluous words I will quantify this as one of the best single note expeasipns of hops I have tasted.
