COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin white head. Aromas of floral hops, earthy hops, sticky hops, and more hops. Did I mention it’s big on hops? Taste is just as expected, BITTER. There’s some nice malt balance in there and some grapefruit and citrus notes as well, but the hop bitterness never lets up. I rather enjoy this brew quite a bit, and the perfect 5 for palate is basically in honor of the label doing what it says it will. I’m wrecked...

On tap. Pours a hazy deep orange with a thick white head. Aroma of light fruits, grassy hops, spicy hops, caramel malt. Flavor of rich sweet malt with big juicy citrus hops. Pretty much what I expect from a IIPA- big malt and hops. Not too sweet luckily but it is a bruiser. 8/4/8/4/14 (3.8/5)

Good strong stuff. Aroma is of hops. Period. Nice amber/copper color with a small head. Average palate with good carbonation and crisp finish. This was very well balanced and not the hop soup I was expecting. The malts blended well and made this drinkable. It’s not the best Imperial IPA I’ve had but its near the top. If hops are what drives you, here’s one to definitely not pass up.

12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Bright and clear bubbly amber-orange with a large, foamy beige lasting head. DIPA - yep: citrus zest, alcohol, dry, light resin - good. Taste follows- this is a big sucker, but it takes its time assaulting the palate - initially, nah, but breathe in and let the oxygen supercharge the hop acids - oh yeah! good stuff. light of body, slick, astringent, only lightly carbonated, but what a long borderline boozy bitter palate-coating finish. This thing has just a light malt backbone - it’s all about the bitterness and alcohol. Well done, you hit your mark.

bottle. Amber with small head. Very appropriately named. Huge, over the top hop bitterness. Ever so slightly balanced by some light malt, but definitely a hop bomb. Quite excellent.

It's a bitter IPA. Good if that's your thing although doesn't last on the palate as long as Ruination or others. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Resiny pine and very bitter with a hint of tropical fruit. Decently strong caramel malt backbone. Very good.

Dark gold with fluffy white head. Big piney aroma, caramel, some fruit. Taste is resin, pine, sweet caramel, huge bitterness with a long piney finish. Something slightly unpleasant at the very finish but overall really good.

On tap at Fat Bob’s in Buffalo, NY. Poured a dark reddish-brown, very dry, hoppy. A little bit of pine-ness, but not too deep on the flavor otherwise. Just a very strong powerful beer, I think.

Yes, it IS a palate wrecker, but , because of the malt it doesn’t seem as testicular as you might think. Conifer predominates, with a bit of citrus and forest floor funk backing it up.
