COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Interesting. Not a lot of hop aroma. Very very bitter, with a bitter hop flavour underneath. Its got a ton of hops in it, but not very pleasant. Good upper limit for hoppiness.

Pours golden clear from draft, moderate white head. Citrus, grapefruit rind aroma. Powerfully hoppy, sublime bitterness dominates taste with lingering aftertaste. Minimal astringency. Creamy body. Excellent imperial ipa. One of the most bitter beers I've had but so deliciously drinkable. An instant favorite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I AM HUNTs FOR MAXIMUM IUBS AND THOUGHT THIS WAS TEH ONES FOR MINE. THEY ADVERTIES 149 IUB WHICH IS SUPPOST TO BE MORE THAN A PLINY (MY FAVORITE ,FYI!!!) AND RECK MY PLATE. I HAD A PRETTY STRONG PLATE AND THIS DID NOT RECK ANY OF ITS’c! I WOOD COMPARE THE HOP PILSNERS OR SOMETHING SOFT LIKE THOSE, DEFIANTLEY NOT PLINY. I MITE TAKE THIS ONE OUT FOR HIKE OR CANOES OR BOATING ON A WATER OR SOMETHING TO USE FOR SPORTS DRINK. HONESTLY -ITS’ SEEMS LIKE AN ARCTIC BLASTE GATORADE! GREEN FLASH SHOULD STICK TO OCEAN LIGHTS ON PIERATES OF THE CARIBEAN AND STOP BEERS.

Clear amber, cream head Rich aroma, malts, cream, mou, aromatic hops with bittersweet citrus notes, balsamic notes, light caramel and toffee. Spectacular complex taste. Aggressive herbaceous bitterness well balanced with mellow mou, caramel and aromatic citrus notes. Hoppy aftertaste.

Pours amber-blonde with a big white head and a nose that screams Centennial hops in a loud and beautiful manner. Flavor lives up to its name with an enormous kick of both floral and bitter from an almost silly amount of hops, though it’s quite well balanced by a big sweet malt and the high gravity. Backside is sticky and bitter. This is what big IPAs are all about.

Really love the excessive boldness of the hop aroma, along with the extreme bitter hop flavor. Great bold color and obviously overly strong flavor throughout. Gets almost too bitter by the end, but I like it a lot despite the high cost

Pours a dark gold/amber with a thick white head, lots of lacing on glass. Nice citrus hoppy aroma. Hoppy bitterness right up front when tasted, a little resin flavor follows but nothing over powering easy to drink.
