COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Draft. Clear golden color, massive thick white head with solid lacing. Aroma of intense centrifuged pine needles. Taste has enough pine to turn you inside out. Shocking.

Fruity, resiny, abrasive but too heavy.

2014-02-27, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 7-5-8-5-15=40
Amber color, clear, with creamy head. Sweet and fruity beer, with a good mix of malt and caramel, medium sweetness, a bit candyish, strong bitterness, hop resins, cedar peel, and a mild animal character present in the aroma and flavor.
Good, potent, but I wouldn’t drink much of it.

I liked this beer. Super potent with great hops kick. Dark orange pour with a mildly bubbly white head. Nose of pine and citrus. Notes of grapefruit in the flavor and a strong hops presence with slight malt. Pretty smooth on the go-down. Really tasty. Had this on tap at Rattle and Hum in NYC.

Cask gravity at GBBF 11. Orange gold with bubbly white head. Big hoppy beer. I mean the hops are huge. Big toasty hop. Big syrupy resin. Big pink grapefruit aroma. Thats pretty good for first beer. Pretty damn good

Bottle. It’s a hazy, dark golden beer topped by a dense, finger-thick off-white to beige head. Lots of hops in the aroma, green pine cones, resins and citrus peel, and also a touch of maltyness. The flavor has a pleasant underlying malty sweetness, and up front there’s hops, some more hops and even more hops. A nice bitterness, grass hints and lots of resins and citrus zest. Lasting finish. Pleasant indeed, sure wouldn’t mind having more of this. 120915

Bottle from Bierkompass. Clear deep golden beer with a rich and very lasting offwhite/yellowish head. Hoppy creamy aroma, peach, pineapple, milk notes, pine needles, spicy notes, caramel, hay, lemongrass, biscuits, floral notes, herbal and with pears. Hoppy flavor, huge bitterness, creamy, hay, peach notes, pineapple, lemongrass, pine needles, floral and herbal notes. Alcohol is very well hidden. Good beer!

Clear orange with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and rather hoppy - grapefruit and pine. Flavor is quite sweet and very bitter. Dry and very bitter finish. 230812

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours cloudy golden with small bubbles on top. Nose has lots of grapefruit and peach. Smooth and full bodied. Dry and hoppy end - far from a palate wrecker though.

Tap at the Boilermaker, Philly - 24/05/12. Copper coloured with a thin white head. Fresh grassy hops on the nose allied to a little fruit and sweet malt. Taste as aroma with pine and a hint of orange. Bitter tasting, medium dry finish.
