COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamiltonís Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. Itís the most complicated West CoastĖinspired IPA we have ever brewedómashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isnít for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Lite ruby in color. Very clear, no particles. Still hoppy smell. Earthy aroma. Very bitter. I know you can only taste bitterness to 80 IBUs, but this just seems so much more bitter than others Iíve had in that range. Earthy flavor. Hops also come through. Hops and bitterness are noticed throughout youíre mouth. I like it. This really well wreck your palate.

Amber to copper colored, small white head. Aroma of caramel malts, pine and citrus, very hoppy. Taste medium to strong sweet caramalt, very hoppy, pine and grapefruit, some tropical fruits, resin. Quite bitter and dry finish with a lasting aftertaste. Boozy. Medium to full bodied, moderately oily.

strong imperial with light finish and a persistent palate. great color and aroma. I think the best part of this beer is that itís highly drinkable.

Poured from a four pack of bottles, nice pour with a nice amount of foam. At first you get hit with a blast of bitter which literally does wreck the palate, but by midway through the 2nd beer the flavor of the hops start to get really tasty. I think the boast of "heavy hitter" on the side of the bottle is very accurate in all categories (alcohol, hops, and IBUís).

This pours a clear, golden amber color with a slight head. The aroma is slightly bitter. The taste big and bitter.

Delish. Definitely a good imperial ipa. The bitter hits you at the end so itís quite an experience.

Palate wrecker is an appropriate name. You can taste the 149 IBU for sure but it isn't a blast to the palate as you would think. It's a subdued overpowering of hops.

22 oz bottle. Aroma: malty, citrusy, and piney, with hints of caramel, grapefruit, bread, resin, grass, and barnyard. Taste/Palate: sweet, crisp, and thick; finishes with a long bitterness.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is barnyard, sweet and grassy. Flavor is sweet, grassy and bitter with a sharp hoppy flavor. As the beer warms it has a slight caramel flavor to it.

For hop lovers only! Bright golden to orange color heavy lacing on glass, aroma of citrus and pepper with tad of leather. Malts are there but hop dominant of course. Well balanced long lasting bitterness. Perfect.
