3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear, deep amber with a large, frothy offwhite head. Massive aroma of juicy, mealy hops. Very ripe fruits, grass, grapefruit, syrup or brown sugar. A slight burnt note, liquorice.. a little boozy and kind of peppery. A sip reveals it’s sort of true to its name. Bitter as hell, but actually seems decently balanced for a second, before the finish kicks in. The finish is pretty brutal though, definitely not one for the sweettooths. It gives off a burnt and peppery feel in the mouth, with resiny bitterness. Body is full, carbonation is calm. I don’t know, I think I’d like a less heavy version of this. A lighter one, with fresher hop aromas instead of overripe ones, less booze and a more lively body. I get that this is supposed to be a sipper, but a little better drinkability wouldn’t hurt. It is a good one though, but it’s not entering no list of favourites of mine.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours golden clear from draft, moderate white head. Citrus, grapefruit rind aroma. Powerfully hoppy, sublime bitterness dominates taste with lingering aftertaste. Minimal astringency. Creamy body. Excellent imperial ipa. One of the most bitter beers I've had but so deliciously drinkable. An instant favorite.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours amber-blonde with a big white head and a nose that screams Centennial hops in a loud and beautiful manner. Flavor lives up to its name with an enormous kick of both floral and bitter from an almost silly amount of hops, though it’s quite well balanced by a big sweet malt and the high gravity. Backside is sticky and bitter. This is what big IPAs are all about.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Really love the excessive boldness of the hop aroma, along with the extreme bitter hop flavor. Great bold color and obviously overly strong flavor throughout. Gets almost too bitter by the end, but I like it a lot despite the high cost

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark gold/amber with a thick white head, lots of lacing on glass. Nice citrus hoppy aroma. Hoppy bitterness right up front when tasted, a little resin flavor follows but nothing over powering easy to drink.
