COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. Rayon Vert is Green Flash.

Came out of the bottle WAY over-carbonated all over the place. Deduct for appearance. Aroma reminds me of sniffing paste in kindergarden. Deduct. Flavor is oddly chemical-like. Flavor of burnt rubber. Over-priced and Very dissapointing.

This beer tastes like some kind of cleaning product. Other than that, itís good.

Draught. Pours a hazy, medium straw, with a white head. Citrusy, farmyardy aromas, grapefruit peel, hops, phenols, cloves. Dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy, hoppy taste, malt, wheat, yeast, phenols, citrus peel, faintly funky. (2012-04-30)

Bottle. A hazy rust pour with a big and fluffy beige head. Sour Brett dominates the aroma and imparts its usual lemony funk. Plenty of juicy oranges, grapefruits, and some caramel in the mix too. Medium to full-bodied and kinda sticky on the way down. Caramel maltiness upfront taste-wise. Lots of yeasty lemony flavors follow. Some juicy pink grapefruits and citrus rinds at the end. Quite tart. A bit of a peppery finish. Very dry. I expected quite a bit more from this one. Things didnít quite work.

Iíve cellared this bottle for several months; it was much hoppier and less sour when fresh. Gloriously bright copper-yellow. Thick, rocky and lasting white foam. Strong, spritzy lemon-yeasty aroma, still with some grapefruit and floral hop notes. Intense and complex mix of flavors, sour lemon drop candy plays with hop flavors and a lingering sour/dry finish. Freakiní incredible and keeps getting better.

Light unclear medium orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, moderate yeasty, leather - brett. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet, light to moderate acidic and moderate bitter with a long duration, tart, brett, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120523]

Cloudy copper-orange with a huge, chunky white head. Bit of rubber, citrus, brett, and spice on the nose. Flavor starts out with light caramel and biscuit malt, then becomes bretty with some citrusy hops. Finished dry and refreshing. A lot like Orval, but with fruitier hops and not as perfect. Decent if youíre looking for a reasonably priced Belgian ale with brett.

Rating #46 for 2012 12oz bottle cold from a snifter glass. Aroma bread, sweet, dusty. 1 inch head on top of a hazy honey colored beer with spotty lacing. Taste was of initially dry with mild citrus with a slight bitter hop finish. Palate, medium carbonation.

Bottle [12oz]. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with a massive lasting frothy off-white head. Nice aroma of Belgian yeast, Brett, pepper, biscuity malt and finally, a good amount of floral hops -- itís quite lovely. Flavourís just as nice, with funky Belgian yeast, Brett, pepper, floral hops, some sweet fruit and biscuity malt. Dry, spicy, bitter finish. Alcohol well hidden. Medium bodied. A great example of the style and one of the best Iíve had.

35,5 cl. bottle. Unknown bottling/BB date. Rated 31.5.2012. Slightly dusty amber with large, persistent head. Funky, dry, orangey, spicy, mildly tart, balanced and highly drinkable.
