COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. Rayon Vert is Green Flash.

This one was really nice. It poured a pale cloudy yellow with a pillowy white head. The aroma had a good amount of the Belgian scents you would expect, candy, a bit of funk, lemon. The flavor again had the usual with a nice amount of pepper, a little sourness, and bitter hops. The finish is very dry and refreshing.

Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a big white head that takes a while to settle and leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma is fruity with green apple and apricot, a bit of brett and some breadiness. Initial taste is some green apple and apricot. A bit of brett presence. Finish is bready and slightly drying. Quite nice. Light bodied. Medium carbonation. Iíd be curious to see how this evolves, but not sure if I have the space.

Beer pours cloudy honey golden color with a massive, retained off white head. Aroma is enjoyable with big brett notes along with lots of earth and bread. Flavor is bitter a just a little sweet. Palate is nicely dry. Really great American belgian style.

Came out of the bottle WAY over-carbonated all over the place. Deduct for appearance. Aroma reminds me of sniffing paste in kindergarden. Deduct. Flavor is oddly chemical-like. Flavor of burnt rubber. Over-priced and Very dissapointing.

Draught. Pours a hazy, medium straw, with a white head. Citrusy, farmyardy aromas, grapefruit peel, hops, phenols, cloves. Dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy, hoppy taste, malt, wheat, yeast, phenols, citrus peel, faintly funky. (2012-04-30)

Bottle. A hazy rust pour with a big and fluffy beige head. Sour Brett dominates the aroma and imparts its usual lemony funk. Plenty of juicy oranges, grapefruits, and some caramel in the mix too. Medium to full-bodied and kinda sticky on the way down. Caramel maltiness upfront taste-wise. Lots of yeasty lemony flavors follow. Some juicy pink grapefruits and citrus rinds at the end. Quite tart. A bit of a peppery finish. Very dry. I expected quite a bit more from this one. Things didnít quite work.

Iíve cellared this bottle for several months; it was much hoppier and less sour when fresh. Gloriously bright copper-yellow. Thick, rocky and lasting white foam. Strong, spritzy lemon-yeasty aroma, still with some grapefruit and floral hop notes. Intense and complex mix of flavors, sour lemon drop candy plays with hop flavors and a lingering sour/dry finish. Freakiní incredible and keeps getting better.
