If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. Rayon Vert is Green Flash.

Bottle. Murky gold with ridiculous head that just doesn’t disappear. Earthy, citrus-y, yeasty, grassy, funky. Some noticeable alcohol.

Smells subtly of Belgian yeast with aromas of grass and spice. Like other green flash Belgian inspired beers, this is hoppier than a regular Belgian, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but in this case I think this beer is a little too Americanized to be called "Belgian style". Still quite enjoyable

A hazy dark yellow beer with a large frothy head. The aroma is yeast, a nice fruitiness and bubble gum with some piney hops. The flavor is mildly bitter with nice yeast character and fruitiness. Pretty delicious.

Appearance - Hazy orange, massive head
Aroma - Bread, hay, yeast, honey
Taste - Hops, yeast, grapefruit

What a fantastic brew! The scent is heavy of yeast and hay mainly, while the flavor explodes with hops and grapefruit with a classic yeast body. Can’t wait to try some more of these Green Flash beers.

Draft at Eulogy. Poured a rich clear amber with an overflowing pillowy white head. Lots going on here. Similar to Orval, but with a lot more disparate notes dancing around. Grassy fruity yeast esters. Citrus peel hop bitterness. Slight peaty smokiness. Brett sour. Complex playground of flavors. Much better than anticipated.

Bottle from Rick’s in Alexandria. Served in a Green Flash Rayon Vert chalice. Pours a nice, fairly-clear amber color with a nice off-white head. Good retention of the foamy white head. Some lacing on the way down and a good cap and collar throughout. The nose carries some moderate hopping as well as a nice fruitiness and light earthy character. Great presence in the nose, really serving to complement the hops. Flavor brings a nice bit of fruity hops along with some earth, light malt, and some Brett through the background. Body is light-to-medium with a good bitterness and a nice bit of Brett and earth to really round things out. Quite dry through the finish. This is a really fantastic beer and I’m beyond excited that it’s year round. This is finally an off-the-shelf year-round beer that is worthy of sitting beside sixers of Two Hearted in my fridge. Bravo, Green Flash.

Pours cloudy copper huge head very foamy about 2 inches . Aroma is very much ipa graprfruit. Flavor is different smooth up front and almost a tick sweet giving way to some mild sour characteristics and finishes very mild. There is also a faint candi flavor at the end This is a really nice beer ! Never had one that looks and smells like this and then taste is way different than the smell
