COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. Rayon Vert is Green Flash.

12oz Bottle, purchased at Wakefield Liquor - Wakefield, RI. Slightly styrofoamy aroma, with a bit of hop pungency. Spicy and Orval-like. Well carbonated and explosive, as a good Belgian Ale should be. This really reminds me of super-fresh Orval, with more hops. I guess thatís what itís going for. A little less malt complexity. This is nicely drinkable, but thereís not a lot hitting home in the end flavorwise and the palate is really light. Thatís fine, if Iím paying $1.69, but for the $3.39 I had to shell out for 12oz, Iíd like a little more action, please.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a large fluffy white head. The aroma has grass, herbs, barnyard, toasted malts and Brett character with splashes of fruit and yeast. The flavor has more of the barnyard funk, grass, toasted malts with Brett influences. There is a hint of sweet Belgian yeast and sugar working its way in. Interesting and would like to revisit a bottle in a while to see how it changes.

bottle-Pours darker orange lightly hazy with a fluffy white head that lasted a very long time with sudsy-ness along the sides of the glass. nose is lite spice, barnyard (funk, mold) lite phenols, lite plastic note, and lite straw. flavors exhibit alot of the funk yeast qualities along with toasted malt grains, lite spice, lots of bitter hops (for this style) and lingering funk on the finish. This is alot better than theTreasure Chest beer and one of this breweries best! body is soft, full yet crisp with the perfect amount of carbonation. very well done GF

355ml bottle. Lots of loosely packed foam above a copper orange base. Musky perfume aromas, blooming flowers in the spring garden come to mind. The flavour is a bit perfumery as well but it is not too bad. Sits in the mouth well, has a good strong body and lingers on the palate.

Bottle. Appearance: very clear golden orange color, white head dissipating quickly. Aroma: first pour whiff almost skunky to me, but I think thatís the new style for me that I just donít know (think itís a kind of barnyard Brett smell); very earthy almost dirt yeast presence that works well with very sweet honeysuckle and orange and tart lemon citrus scent. Taste: strong meyer lemon citrus up front, some caramel malt coming through in the middle, finishing with a kind of lemony tartness and dried leaves taste that lingers a bit; very interesting/different yet delicious. Mouthfeel: relatively thin, medium "scrubbing" carbonation, very dry finish. Overall: this is my first Brett beer and Iím pleasantly surprised. Didnít know what was going on at first whiff so I looked it up and it made sense. Donít really love that aroma, but I really like the complexity of taste.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper big off-white head. Interesting aroma of citrus and spice and earthy yeast. Taste is not overly sweet or bitter. Good amount of malt, medium body, soft carbonation, mild bitter finish with spice. Overall this was unique and pretty good for a style thatís not my favorite.
