COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. Rayon Vert is Green Flash.

On tap at the Brass Tap, poured a dark golden color with aromas of pepper, spice, floral hops, and yeast esters. Flavors are the same, had a slight sweet taste that mixed with the esters and peppery yeast.

Bottle from King&Godfree. Great aromatic hops, with well balanced flavour. Aromas of citrus, pine, honey, bread, with hints of caramel. Taste is sweet, with light bitter and sour notes, long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

Green Flash is probably one of the most underrated breweries on the west coast... Citrusy aroma, light orange in color... Flavor is citrus, belgian yeast, spices, and slightly tart finish... Delicious beer!

Bottle. Pours hazy dark straw golden with 3-finger off-white head. Nose is a great mix of floral hops, black peppery spice, funky yeasty malt. Tastes floral, not dry but somewhat sweet, with funky yeast esters, hops, peppery and coriandery spice, and a complex finish. This one is delicious, and one of the best of its style ever made.

Hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of spices, honey, brett, vanilla, citrus, and toffee. Taste of grass, light citrus, vanilla, leather, some spices, and a bretty finish.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a nice long lasting white head. Unusual aroma of florals, fruit, hops, and barnyard. Taste is hops, malt, pine, citrus, and yeast. A bit different (hard to describe) but very enjoyable.

Pours a slightly hazy deep golden color with a huge fluffy white head that persists forever. Smells of pepper and spice mostly. Light hints of sweet honey like malt countered with grapefruit and zest. Taste is spicy with pepper, lightly sweet with honey like malt, lemony and citrusy with hops. Medium body with a spirited level of carbonation and a fizzy syrupy chalky mouthfeel. Decent Belgian pale that I’m glad I got to try, but probably not something I would seek out again.

12-oz. Pours a cloudy bright medium amber with a dense and creamy white head that sticks around and around. Dense rings of sedimentary lace. Big bubble gum watermelon nose with plenty of herbal hop lingering around...interesting combination. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Sweet bubble gum and watermelon mid palate with a sweet finish.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Superb, bright orange pour with a small, firm white head with lovely spider legs all the way down the glass. Nose is pretty much taken over by the brett with heavy tropical fruits. Quite grassy behind it but the brett is very in your face. Very sweet citric fruits and passionfruit followed by the heavy brett focus. Sour with subtle bitterness on the finish. Quite lengthy. Very tasty, the older bottles I have are getting better with bigger emphasis on the brett. Digging it, bit of a bitch to pour though

Beer has some strong carbonation, pours really yeasty, hazy gold with lots of frothy white head. Spicey, sweet belgian yeast aroma. The yeast is belgian through and through, beautifully funky. Grassy, Hay, weird but good flavors. Slight floral hoppy bitterness balanced perfectly with the malts. This stuff is pretty awesome and underrated.
