COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. Rayon Vert is Green Flash.

Nose is citrusy and refreshing and so is the taste. However, i wonder if i got a mistake (all 4 were the same though) the beer is way too carbonated! If you poor it out (takes forever!) then it is a great beer. Very refreshing and smooth. Belgian yeast flavor and tangy but also mellow. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber, rocky cream head. Zesty citric aroma and bread crust. Nicely balanced, leaves a bread crust aftertaste. A mix of yeasty, simple malts and hops.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2015 Four pack at Hopey for 4.99 Good ol Hopey. I am intrigued. Really difficult pour- super carbonated. Big soapy lacey head over a nice murky amber brew. Lots of citrus - grapefruit, lemon - upfront with plenty of funk int the mid-palate and finish. Strong brett character. Belgian yeast really works here. Lots going on. Dry and crisp and green apple bitter at the end. It’s well done. 03/02/2015 More funk than I remember. Distinct barnyard aftertaste. The older the beer gets the more prominent funk gets and the rest fades into background. Somewhat out of balance.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours cloudy golden with a massive head. Grapefruit notes, tastes of mellow tropical citrus hops with a hint of spice. Masses of carbonation on this one but still very tasty

Bottle, probably picked up at Whole Foods in NYC. Bright burnished orange gold colour, very high carbonation some minor gushing. Gosh actually tastes a bit like Orval. A very successful attempt at an American Belgian, the main difference I guess being a more citrusy fruity fresher less spicy hop mixture, and this is a bit cleaner, less complex and subtle. Still pretty good though!

This was the most foam I have ever gotten from a bottle that wasn’t home brew. The pour is an amber that’s pretty clear. Yeast notes on the nose. Has some wine alcohol notes while staying crisp and dry. But not too dry I’d say a touch of dry grape.

Grape comes on just before the brett reminds you of the Belgian element. No doubt a pale ale from the hops but Europe influence strong. A good match. 7%. 12oz. 3.6std drinks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
