On draft at Alexandria’s in Findlay. Pours a deep ruby copper color with an off-white head. Nose is big caramel, and wholly hoppy hell. I get all manner of tropical fruit and citrus when I’m not getting kicked in the nose by some of the boozy notes. Flavor is similar- nice caramel backbone with syrupy hops, tropical fruit, and citrus with big booze as well. This one is a sipper- medium to full in body and a nice DIPA, but on the windy side of care.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep amber with an orangeish white head a full inch high. Strong aroma of rye malt, pollen and floral hops. Soft carbonation, viscous tingly mouthfeel, dry finish. Strong hop profile, grapefruit and pollen, lots of rye toward the finish, ABV is apparent. Really well blended rye IPA, strong and zesty.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep brick copper and red in the light. Head is large off the pour and off-white and settles to a nice coating that leaves finely bubbled lacing. Aroma is a very pleasing caramel citrus rye. Taste is less sweet than I might expect for an imperial. Notes of rye grain, caramel malt and bitter piney hops combine for an excellent balance. A bit of grapefruit as well. Aftertaste keeps giving but the punch of this beer is drinkably short. I really enjoyed this one. Green Flash strikes again.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A deep red amber body with a beige head that had excellent retention. Aroma had a nice hit of grapefruit hops. Normally I do not like grapefruit hops but this was good. A nice hit of pine hops and a mix of caramel and roasted malts. Flavor had good balance both grapefruit and pine hops seemed to blend well, neither one seemed to overpower the other one. Malts seemed to have a spicy note, i definitely go the rye malts. Alcohol had a nice warming presence. Finish was nice and dry.
