ABV at 9% is too high for my regular rotation...but this is an excellent, full bodied, brew. Reddish Amber color with full aroma and taste!

Rated on 10-12-2014 (Bottle) The appearance is a small beige mostly diminishing head, transparent amber body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, spicy and caramel malt. The flavor is moderate bitterness, citrus hops, spicy, and caramel malt. The mouthfeel is lively carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This is a sipping IPA at 9%ABV. It has a soft bitter aftertaste and is a beer worth trying.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours copper with tan head. Aroma has pine, roastiness and a bit of spice. Taste is complex, and intense, pine, some roasted flavors, but also lots of spiciness from the rye.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a fully hazed red amber with an off-white head. Citrus hoppy aroma with a heavy rye grain component. Flavor also has heavy citrus hop flavors, pine and herbal, with caramel and grainy rye flavors. It works pretty well actually, but for my tastes there’s just too much rye.

Another awesome green flash. I am not a fan of rye in my IPA but this is really good. The spicy rye and medium crystal malts come out wonderfully in the tropical citrus pine hop aroma. The flavor follows the aroma with some toffe and fruit in the heavy malt backbone. I also think beers that don’t back up their citra and mosaic type hops with a healthy dose of spruce hops and a the beer can be too juicy. The mosaics work awesome in this beer. This would be a better fall or winter release, but nothing really tops green bullet and palate wrecker imho
