3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   Copper hued orange, moderate foamy tannish head, nice lacing.   Somewhat of a pithy tea leaf start, definite rye, but what this is lacking right away is any sort of sweetness.   Comes across dry, without anything sweet to balance it out.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Strong pith and peel towards the back, soft tea leaves too.   Really wished it were sweeter, more floral or candied citrus bits.   Clean, I will give it that, but not one I would reach for over and over.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, from Triangle Wine, Morrisville. Best by 11/13/14. Good aroma, sweet. Pine, grapefruit, and rye are dominant, some orange, tea leaves. Clean brownish orange color, ok head, ok lace. Bitter sweet flavor. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Good. Rye is strong, which gives it a strong grain build against the hops. It’s interesting, I might see where some don’t like the mix, but I like it. Real big sweet IIPA.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Best by date of "11/13/14."
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance has a nice dark red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute in a concave fashion. The lacing looks real nice as it clings gracefully against the glass.
The smell had a nice light Rye malt inside of a subtle piney/citrus bittersweet aroma. Some nice spicy notes settle underneath with the previously mentioned flavors to combine nicely.
The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors and combined them extremely well. The aftertaste had a nice long sweet Rye to spicy notes leading to a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was sharp but still had a gentle creaminess to it.
Overall, I say this was quite the complex beer as there’s a lot going on. Of course I would have this again.

Bottle. Amber copper pour with an off white head. Sweet caramel malt, lots of hops, bitter, resinous, chewy, toffee, mild rye spiciness, some fruit, citrus, and tropical fruit notes. Too sweet, but still enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Mad Mex Horsham. Hazy copper pour with off-white head. Nose was heavy piney hops, caramel malt. Tasted thick, rich, and complex, with assertive hops coupled with well balanced caramel malt. This one paired perfectly with a spicy taco platter.
