COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop on and enjoy the rye of your life! Our imperial rye IPA is brewed in the name of our road warriors - the sales team that tirelessly hit the streets, traveling from town to town and pub to pub sharing the Green Flash experience. Road Warrior charge full flavor forward. Columbus and Mosaic hops, rich crystal and spicy rye malts pave the way for Mosaic and Amarillo dry hopping to boldly shine through in the finish. Raise a glass to those who never settle!

Refrigerated brown 12 oz. bottle, best before November 12, 2015, poured into a glass. Dark Crimson with small beige head. Aroma is rye, medium body, medium carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is rye, grassy hops, pine hops, dank, and bitter finish. Pretty heavy and not my kind of IIPA.

Resinous and citrusy aromas. Hazy bronze with a fairly lasting white head. Dry malt profile with a lot of hop bitterness, somewhat spicy. Medium bodied.

Undated bottle (which has a "Best Before" box on the label and yet no date there....) drunk 9/6/15.
Deep amber-orange with cherry-auburn tints and a light beige head that is full and fluffy, slowly receding to cover. High clarity, fairly well-filtered, their beers seem to be nowadays and certainly not bottle conditioned (if they ever were?).
Nonetheless, it’s got a deep, lush hop nose, with some slightly aggressive resin and a pinch of alcohol. Tons of fruitiness and almost a wintergreen-like note, with vanilla, cherry and light toffee emanating from the malts and providing a pretty good balance. I think the mosaic and amarillo really go along way for it not being overdone and while the Colombus still impart some pine and grapefruit, it’s pleasant enough, if a bit challenging.
The flavor is sweet, well-malted with cherry, vanilla, rye spiciness and again, full, lush, juicy citrus and pine, with some pineapple and a light woodiness that gives a little more subtle, enjoyable, unique flavor to the finish. Green Flash makes well-executed beers and even if a 9% rye DIPA is not in my wheelhouse, I can still respect it (and I did finish the whole beer fairly easily).

Bottle share at GBBF, 9%. Thanks! Dark hazy orange, some suspended particles, small foamy tan head. Aroma is sweet with raisins, teacake and toffee. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is sweet, resinous hops, raisins, caramel, soft peppery bitterness to finish. Not bad.

12 oz bottle from Kroger a 4/pk The ale poured a deep dark hazy amber with beige head and lacing. The aroma of grapefruit rind and pine resin greet you. the taste has some spicy notes from the rye malts. The grapefruit stays with you in the back of your mouth. This is full bodied ale with average carbonation and nice warming on the tongue. The sip pulls you into a bitter finish leaving citrus and piney hops in the wake and a little warmth in the throat.

Bottle BBE: unknown. Well-chilled. Pours an opaque, deep reddish-brown body with medium, tight, yellow-tan head. High-intensity aromas, lots of cheese & onion crisps (skunky hops), ginger, herbal and brown bread. Light-medium sweetness and a medium bitterness with a hint of smoky, roasted character. Full-bodied with a thick texture, medium-low carbonation and a spicy, gingery finish. Overall this would surely have made the top ten if it was in better condition. Heavy notes of ginger and herbs coming through despite the off-flavours from the hops.

Bottle shared at GBBF 2015, day 1 - London. Cheers! Pours clear orange-copper with a frothy off-white head. Dank hop aroma, some ripe citrus, caramel, bread, pine. Medium sweet flavor, moderately boozy, with notes of ripe orange and oily, gooey pine. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, warming and resinous, with rich bread and more orange. Good stuff overall, if fairly punchy.
