Hazy deep amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is softish and a little dry. Fine carbonation. Light sweetish caramel malt and malt cream. Very skunky hops, bitter too. Light pine and ripe orange. Mild hop spice. Smooth finish with a good bitter linger. Skunky!

Draught at St. Augustineís, Vancouver
Dark amber color, clean, with compact head. The aroma has some alcohol and fusels. Overall itís a very caramelly brew, a bit chewy, although not thick or sweet; the hopping is quite resiny and a bit fruity too, very bitter; some alcohol perception.
Good beer.

Tap at University of Beer in Davis, CA. Pours beautiful dark copper with a beige head. Aroma is malty with grass/citrus? Med body or better. Flavor is malty, a little rye spice, some citrus and then tropical fruit aspects? For me itís a bit complex. Lots of flavor. Drinking really nice.

Draft. Poured clear ruby copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Medium to heavy complex hop and earthy rye aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

Bready, seedy, burnt caramel syrup, cinnamon spice and red apple skin red malt. Earthy, nutty, resinous poo-like hops, yum, with grapefruit-y Amarillo standing out in the aroma... the Mosaic donít stand out much to me, but there is an ambient hamster cage / cedar shaving quality that may be their signature. Quiet off-notes of concrete mix, dust, and clay in the nose. In the mouth it seems bitter, syrup and sweaty. Itís not terrible, just boring and pointlessly large. Ho-hum another big fuckin American beer... goopy, bitter, <strong>... for what itís made with, Crystal malt, Amarillo and Mosaic, I donít hate it as much as every other awful attempt at this kind of Imperial Red/Rye thing with similar hops, so thatís a compliment to Green Flash. I want to show it some love but the lingering cinnamon twizzlers / pine tar / poo association has stuck.
