3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber bottle and served in Duvel snifter: Pours a clean straw golden hue with a lasting effervescent head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of Chamomile, ginger ale, orange zest, light Grains of Paradise, pale grain, bubblegum yeast esters and a hint of woody earthy vapours. The taste is actually only moderately spicy and fruity but you can find the pale malt and wheat along with some light bitterness on the finish. To be clear, you still can notice the ginger and G.o.P. enough but they are more an ascent than the main flavoring component. As this warms a light tartness starts to appear but nothing distracting. I actually like that. The mouth feel is lively and refreshing but I would note some chalky wheat husk notes that knocks it down a tad. Overall a good enough Saison I would drink again... if I can not find the ones I like more.

Bomber. Nose is heavy coriander soup with not much else going for it, a waft oft yeast and spice but really, coriander soup. Light yellow pour with plenty of carbonation and a soapy white head. Taste is lightly sweet and tart, dusty with a few cobwebs, lemony citrus and a touch of vanilla cream, very low bitterness and subtle florality. Light body but not really watery, very effervescent and refreshing, no alcohol present. Clean but, all told, rather tame all around.

3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Green Flash Saison Diego is more ale than farmhouse. Pour is bright amber with a fluffy white head. Very little aroma is detected. Taste is like a good ale with little or no complexity or funk and sourness. The orange peel and ginger were understated. Saison Diego is not what most would expect from a saison but good in its own right.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home. Pours clear hay to golden color with a large frothy head that leaves just minimal lacing. However quite a lot of large yeast particles floating around after the second pour (that is without pouring out the bottom sediment) . First sniff has an overwhelming sweet aroma of baking yeast in action. There’s also light notes of citrus, coriander, pilsner malt, mango, earth, wet hay, grass and floral. Mouth feel is dry and crisp from high carbonation with a light body. Taste is fruity with light notes of lemon peel, citrus, hay, wheat, coriander, dough and earth. Light and refreshing but could have some more depth in the aftertaste, it comes quickly with a tart and rather watery feeling. Finishes better with a balanced light and a bit tart bitterness and nice taste of coriander lingering.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours light hazy yellow with a big creamy head. Aroma is sweet fruity yeast with cloves, hay, grass and ripe fruit with banana, as well as some peppery honey. Creamy body with soft frothy carbonation. Flavour is tart with yeast, lemon peel and spices, as well as some hoppy peach. Tart herby finish. More like a tart wit than a saison.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice tasting, but too bubbly / carbonated for my likes. Otherwise ists pretty good. This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of frothy white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated slightly hazy golden yellow orange colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy and floral. The bubbly crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The bubbly flavor contained notes of bitter mild rye floral and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

To me this was like a cross. Between a saison a nd a triple, in the very best ways. A nice effervesceNt flavor with plenty of pop. A really excellent beer. Probably my favorite of the seven beers I had today

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated on 4-10-2014 (Bottle) When poured, this beer has a large foamy white head that mostly diminishes, mostly transparent/slightly hazy pale yellow body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and there are spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is malty, fruity, earthy, lightly funky, yeast, and lightly spicy. The taste is lightly funky, fruity, malty, lightly spicy, wheat, and some tartness at the end as the beer had warmed. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light bodied. Overall, a very quaffable saison, very light and refreshing on this 70 degree Spring day.
