Anyway. This is absolutely awesome! Oily black pour with a tight brown head. Aroma is very nutty-- the most nutty aroma of any imperial stout I have had-- and yes this is an imperial stout. Fuck off if you do not agree. Roasted nuts and chocolate and toffee and coffee and brown sugar. Heavenly! The palate is full bodied and creamy. Lots of rich coffee and chocolate and toffee and subtle date fruit. Slightly lactic and sweet with a moderately bitter finish. Beautifully nuanced and perfectly balanced. This was an excellent beer. Hints of roast hops with some nice hints of cocoa and molasses that dont over power. very very drinkable. ill buy more. skunkguts (1), USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 21, 2008 bomber. Hint of brown sugar and molasses. Seems to have a hint of espresso. Sweet molasses, nice sense of coffee. Evenly balanced, and goes down nicely. Not overpowering at all. Good stout. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 20, 2008 On tap at Stone. Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum. Almost zero smell. Tiny hint of malt sweetness, thats it. Beer is super round and full in the mouth. Almost turns tart as it moves down. SMOOTH. Cocoa, nuts, toffee. Disgustingly dirty glass at finish, and still had dark head lingering. Super good. Dedollewaitor (3783), Odense, Denmark

Beautiful vanilla aroma with further notes of coffee and chocolate. The flavours are very balanced, primarily sweet like café latte, roasted malts and oak. Nice mouthfeel too. Very nice! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2008 bottle, from Raleigh Whole Foods, Good aroma, bitter sweet. Baking chocolate, soy sauce, coffee, fig. oat. Blackish brown color, good head and lacing. Bitter flavor, like aroma, though not as diverse, much more of the baking chocolate comes through. Thick body, creamy viscous mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Very nice, drank easier than the 8.8 percent look and mouthfeel were perfecxt in my eye. Love the greenflash
