Jun 17, 2009 Say this is good. Immediate appeal of chocolate-raisin flavors and aroma with some vanilla. Late palate is dry with bitter british hops. Possibly still better when cool. Black pour with edge of gold highlight, medium tan foam that leaves espresso rings. How the fuck is this NOT an imperial russian stout????? Ah who cares, leave that to the "Beer Style" fags to say what’s what.

Jun 15, 2009 Pours a two finger light tan head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Black color, no highlights. Light-medium carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Chocolate nose. Flavor is chocolate with a bakers chocolate finish. Decent stout. $7.15 for a 22oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.

Jun 15, 2009 Awesome beer. Been wanting to try this one for a while and it was worth the wait. Pours black with fluffy tan head. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate dominate throughout. So silky smooth on the tongue with a chocolate sweetness, that is very deceiving. Can’t wait to enjoy another one of these some day!

Jun 14, 2009 From bottle, blind #23. Pours dark brown to black with a tan and creamy head. Dark roasted and chocolate malt aroma. Acidic, light chalky, chocolate and vague coffeish base flavoured. Smooth chocolate and acidic roasted malt flavoured. Bitter and slight acidic base flavour into the far finish.

Jun 14, 2009 Bottle at Thrashzone. Aromas of dark chocolate and milky caramel, coffee. Good sweet and burnt balance, with chocolate and coffee. Long, bitter, fnish of burnt wood. Very flavorful, balanced, ad challenging. Good stuff.
