From tap at the Linkery. Aroma is dense brett and woody. Look is strange muddy orange with no head. Aroma is stunning orange, hops fruity and wood. Dense orange flavoured and wooden dry, tart too. Dense and dry finish yet smooth and wooden. Looks terrible but aroma/flavour is fantastic.

This seldom beer is entered to celebrate my rating number 13,100. Draft at the Linkery at RBSG 2008. An unclear dark amber beer with a rim of beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of wood, fruit, and youghurt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruits, acidic youghurt, wood, fresh fruits, and brettanomyces, leading to a tart finish. Super - I’m on the way back to the bar for another - but beware it is strong.

(Draught) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of mustiness, horse blanket, citrus, and herbs. Flavor of herbs, grass, brett, vinous, citrus, and earthiness with a dry bitter finish.

Hazy orange with a tiny off white head. Aroma had toasted malt, brett, fruit and funk. Flavour was fairly dry with funk, fruit, brett, plenty of hops, toasted malt and wood. Finished dry and bitter.

Tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Bright yellow. Aroma of grass and licorice. Subtle barnyard flavor. Decent.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Pours dark amber with a medium beige head. Dark fruits and funk in the aroma. Certainly some malty sweetness present, but for me the brett is the main actor, imparting a definitive funky and tart flavor. I wish it had a bit more hoppiness to offset the malts. Medium in body with light carbonation, somewhat warming. Very good.

Draft… RBSG ‘08… Murky caramel-colored ale with no head. Acidic, fruity, woodsy nose. Medium to full-bodied with an afterthought of carbonation. Well-balanced and woodsy. Less tart than the aroma and a touch vinous. Lengthy, lightly acidic, medium bitter finish.

Draft. Slightly hazy amber beer with a big cream colored head. Tart, green apple aroma with light spice. Tart, green apple flavor with malt/wheat, spice, light lemon and just a bit of wine coming through. Medium bodied. Tartness lingers with yeast and spice, green apple, and light lemon.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Light funky aroma with some floral hoppy hints. The flavor has the perfect amount of bretty funk for my tastes, not super aggresive, but just the right amount to give a counterpoint to the fresh floral hops. Really good.
