Keg at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, green session. 03/05/2014. Rich bright golden coloured pour with lasting white head. Aroma is spicy hop resin, caramle and honey malts. Flavour is spicy hops, pine, light belgian yeast character. Nice palate melts on the tongue. Touch of barrel and good rounded caramel malts. Decent.

RBSG: Tap @ The Linkery. Poured a hazed orange color with a thin off-white head. The aroma was pretty nice smelling like tart orange skins and wood. The flavor was mildly tart with a dry hop bitter finish. To me the flavor was lacking compared to the aroma. Light to medium bodied.

Rating #1.1K. Draft @ BT. Golden pour with some tan head. This could be described as a mess, if it didn’t fit together so well, hoppy IPA, Funky sour notes and fruit and leather notes. Great funky trappist IPA?

tap at rrbf. Pours orange amber with one finger of white head. Nose is funky and lightly vinous up front, some light bitter hop character but mostly overplayed by the funk. Flavor is similar--the brett works well with this particular barrel. Never been a huge fan of the base beer ( I still don’t think I have even got around to rating it) but this is quite nice.

On tap at CBC 2014. Clear golden with white head. Aroma and taste is fresh, malty, cedar, fruit, wood with some acidity to it.

Its nice to finally have this, since I keep missing it for some reason. Tap at O’briens. Pours golden orange with a nice tan head. Nose is big on the citrus and wood. Taste is really pretty great, touch of funk, but overall a nice belgian imperial ipa.

8th taster @ Stone Sour Fest 2008. Poured a murky burnt orange with a small off white head, great lacing. Nose had wine, citrus, oak and some yeast. Nice to have something a little different @ the fest, I think my 3rd fav of the afternoon.

Sample at Stone 14th. Rating #27. Medium gold pour with a white head. Big barnyard aroma, hay and a little horse blanket. Spicy with a funky bite, real nice stuff. (1365)

On tap at Dexters, pours a clear amberish copper with an off white head, the aroma catches you right away, a good amount of tartness with funk and fruit as well, the flavor has a sweet yet hoppy front end, strange I know but it works, the brett really comes through in the finish, dry yet refreshing at the same time, the wine doesn’t completely shine through, but you can tell it’s a little different, not bad at all.
