A hazed dark amber pour with about a half finger of lacing off white head. Sweet aroma with lots of fruit, spice, and bits of sour and ester. Great flavor, full bodied, acidic fruit with hints of brett and a long lasting tart finish. Crisp amazing beer.

Draft… RBSG ‘08… Murky caramel-colored ale with no head. Acidic, fruity, woodsy nose. Medium to full-bodied with an afterthought of carbonation. Well-balanced and woodsy. Less tart than the aroma and a touch vinous. Lengthy, lightly acidic, medium bitter finish.

Served on tap at O’Brien’s during SDBW. The appearance is a pale golden orange with a bigger white head. The Brett jumps out pronouncedly in the nose. Sweet tarts, lemon, pale and golden malts. The flavors follow with lemon, sweet-tarts, malty, light hop additions, and a drying oak. Medium to full bodied mouth that is well carbonated. Very refreshing ale.

tap at rrbf. Pours orange amber with one finger of white head. Nose is funky and lightly vinous up front, some light bitter hop character but mostly overplayed by the funk. Flavor is similar--the brett works well with this particular barrel. Never been a huge fan of the base beer ( I still don’t think I have even got around to rating it) but this is quite nice.

On tap at Dexters, pours a clear amberish copper with an off white head, the aroma catches you right away, a good amount of tartness with funk and fruit as well, the flavor has a sweet yet hoppy front end, strange I know but it works, the brett really comes through in the finish, dry yet refreshing at the same time, the wine doesn’t completely shine through, but you can tell it’s a little different, not bad at all.
