3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Suttree’s Tavern as "Park West Porter". Black, with a creamy brown head. Smells like espresso and dark chocolate. Taste is more of the same. No surprises, just a solid, well made porter.

Tap @ Green Flash... Poured dark brown with a moderate, khaki head. Some roasty and chalky tones with toasted malted sweetness, hints of coffee and cocoa too. Balanced, nothing crazy. Standard porter.

Draft at Stone, brown pour, light tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate, light nuttiness, and hops. Pretty standard porter, although I can’t say it’s is bad either. Just a typical porter.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This one poured a medium brown color with a beige head. Aroma was of light roast, chocolate, and mild hops. Flavor was watery, and brown malt, not really porterish im looking for.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Rose & Crown. Pours darkest brown with a small tannish head and average retention. Aroma is roast, dark chocolate, and coffee. Fairly standard flavor as well, but above average in quality. Roasty and chocolatey for the most part. Medium-bodied for they style with good carbonation. A solid beer from Green Flash, although they have not wowed me in awhile.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
on tap at papago 6/10/10.
darkened version of porter ruby brown with a soft tan head.
it smells of coffee, roast, caramel, a little ashiness, toasted nuts and cream with a spicy hoppiness.
add a little mustiness akin to oats to the aroma profile to get the flavor. it has a bunch of prickly spicy hops in it (i would expect that from gf) which make it incredibly easy to order another.
medium body, creamy and very sessionable. 7/4/7/4/16/3.8

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Ale House @ Amato’s, listed as "Vandberg/green flash park west porter". Clear black with a thin off-white head. Aroma of semi-dark coffee with some bitter floral hop tones and a mild bitter chocolatiness. Flavor starts sweet with a roasty dark malt tone, quickly turns bitter with the same floral and herbal hop tones from the nose. Semi-sweet chocolatiness throughout. A little too American-hopped and bitter, not enough roasty dark chocolaty sweetness. Basically a black IPA.
