COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The working manís porter, a careful malt mix of Pale, Munich, Biscuit, Chocolate, Crystal and Roasted! Together with a 35 IBU dose of East Kent Goldings, the brew is rich in flavour with a delightful roast malt character with sturdy alcohol support.

On tap at Suttreeís Tavern as "Park West Porter". Black, with a creamy brown head. Smells like espresso and dark chocolate. Taste is more of the same. No surprises, just a solid, well made porter.

Park West Porter on tap at PPD. Pours a nearly opaque deep brown with some thin, off white head. Nose is interesting, almost a hint of sourness, toast, malt, straw, light nut. Flavor has no sourness Which Is good, some toasted wheat, a little cherry, malt, bread, black pepper, smoke. Dry finish. A little strange for my taste.

This one poured a medium brown color with a beige head. Aroma was of light roast, chocolate, and mild hops. Flavor was watery, and brown malt, not really porterish im looking for.

Draft at Stone, brown pour, light tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate, light nuttiness, and hops. Pretty standard porter, although I canít say itís is bad either. Just a typical porter.

On tap at Ale House @ Amatoís, listed as "Vandberg/green flash park west porter". Clear black with a thin off-white head. Aroma of semi-dark coffee with some bitter floral hop tones and a mild bitter chocolatiness. Flavor starts sweet with a roasty dark malt tone, quickly turns bitter with the same floral and herbal hop tones from the nose. Semi-sweet chocolatiness throughout. A little too American-hopped and bitter, not enough roasty dark chocolaty sweetness. Basically a black IPA.

Tap @ Green Flash... Poured dark brown with a moderate, khaki head. Some roasty and chalky tones with toasted malted sweetness, hints of coffee and cocoa too. Balanced, nothing crazy. Standard porter.

Pint on tap. Dark chocolate with a small ring of bubbles, Nose is roasted cocoa and caramel. Taste is the same with some light berry notes. Light medium body is well-balanced, watery and has light carbonation.
