Bottle from bhensonb. Pours cloudy golden with a fluffy beige head and a funky barnyard aroma. There is a bitter caramel malt flavor with a dry grassy finish. Not very tasty.

Bottle thanks to cocoapuph. Hazy copper with big Belgian head. Aroma is a slightly funky mix of lemon zest, barnyard, leather, light spice, and floral hopping. Solid hop bitterness mixed with iced tea and lemon, leather, and some plastic. Dry finish. Plenty of residual bitterness along with some lemon and leather. Very unique.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bhightow01 (43) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 9, 2011
Poured from bottle into pint glass. Pours a really light color with minimal head that dissipates quickly. Lots of bready, yeasty, funk, on the nose. On the tongue, there is a good amount of breadyness, which wasnt particularly delightful. a small bit of citrus, maybe grapefruit? Had a lot of yeast in the taste too, which masked a lot of the other flavors. Mouthfeel was strong, carbonation was very pronounce. Overall...well, i agree with the cause, not necessarily the beer.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 markwise (2914) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 30, 2011
Thanks to GatorGuy92 for the share on this one. Pours an opaque yellow with a white head. Nose is citrus, banana, esters, mild cough syrup, and light malt. Flavor is bread dough, some malt, citrus, funk, cough syrup, banana, and apple, pineapple, and more yeast. Flavor has a nice syrupy mouthfeel, but this one is strange, like banana cough syrup at first glance.

Interesting 12 oz bottle from womencantsail as an extra. Thanks! Pours a rich glowing fiery orange amber, a good haze, sunset edges and glow with a pretty big cakey tannish head that stays pretty sizable. Laces ok. Aromas are a melange of citrus and spicy yeast, Belgian yeast, with lots of bread, dough, apples, pear. Touches of sun tan lotion, some herbiness, dry floral and earthy hops. Some gentle spice mellows out. Dry, touches of pine dance into the fold, with a good yeastiness, dry with ok fruity sweetness. Initial is lighter bodied offering a solid dryness up front, that sun tan lotion, herbal quality, pine and earthy dry hops. Moving into some bready malts, touches of spicy yeast, lingering dryness, bread dough and some cool mellow apple and pineapple sweetness. Backend stays dry, some touches of bread and dough, yeastiness is subtle. The beer remains quite dry overall. Hoppy, with touches of ABV into the backend. Keeps away from that sweet and yeasty bomb I’m used to (and dislike). Pretty good.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hopscotch (7535) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Bottle... Hazy amber ale with a huge, pillowy, white head. The nose is crazy fruity – a mélange of citrus and tropical fruits – pineapple, pear and apricot with only a dab of clove spiciness. Medium-bodied and slick with tingly carbonation. The flavor provides fruity malts and hops. Leans bitter, but not at all overbearing. Crisp, lightly bitter, refreshing finish. Bottle courtesy of richiesd or giarcsr! I can’t remember which.
3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cletus (6063) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 26, 2011
Bottle courtesy of richiesd. Pours copper with a large off white head. Smells lightly fruity, bretty, dry malty hints, floral. Tastes of wildflowers, grassy, peppery, bitter, metallic with a dry semi astringent finish. Great nose, but the taste doesn’t quite live up.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 bhensonb (7589) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 24, 2011
Bottle from Schultsc. Asked for a local I hadn’t rated, the man came through big time with this one. Pours hazy amber with a foamy/creamy/fizzy off-white head. It’s like pineapple in the barnyard for aroma. Med body. Flavor is fruit of strange types quickly passed oer by an astringent earthiness. It is slightly sweet, mostly dry. Balanced I guess. The barnyard aspect is just excellent.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DaSilky1 (2575) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 12, 2011
Bottle errr..case from lagunitas fan...pours hazy orange, thin layer of tan. Nose has chunky belgian yeast notes, a touch of brett, and some ripe fruit like mango...maybe pineapple and apricot too, but mostly mango. Decent, especially for a belgian american pale...don’t taste the brett yet though...which sucks when you got to balance the need for the brett to come timewise v. the dissapating hop character...but whatever. Its clean, fruity, certainly estery, but somewhat enjoyably floral and non-offensive. A good case for trade extras I’m thinkin.
