cathcacr (586), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 5, 2007 Meets expectations for the Trippel style, though apparently it’s Belgium proper that produces St. Bernie’s 12 and other mightiest examples of the style. But this is delicious. Smooth and creamy as it’s supposed to be. By meeting basic expectations for this most delicious of styles, it gets a 4.1.. MrDick (277), San Francisco, California, USA Sep 30, 2007 Call me a snob but I wasn’t too impressed with this trippel - this being the third anniversary trippel. It tastes like somebody finally found all those lost bees, rounded up the hive and dripped all the honey into the bottle. Some tang spice and light malt finish. Aight. gotohelunc (473), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Sep 28, 2007 Bomber. A nice cloudy orange color with a big white head. Smells of bananas, yeast, and spices. Alcoholic flavor and finish, and leaves a nice flavor in the mouth. I good solid Tripel. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 18, 2007 Bottle. A golden beer with a big white head. Yeast, malt, spices aroma and taste. Medium body with a sweet light alcoholic finish. ksigty (107), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA Sep 4, 2007 A very good "American" Trippel. Reminds me a lot of Chimay. Good aroma and a smooth flavor. I was pleasantly surprised. awwshiz (76), USA Sep 2, 2007 Complex flavor indeed, it would be difficult to describe all the flavors that are involved. Just keeping it simple and reporting it as being quite enjoyable. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: 3rd Anniversary Triple

yellow, whispy white head, slightly sweet malt aroma with lots of nice spices, thin body, lots of nice spicy character on a slightly sweet malt base, light bitterness in the finish (from the spices?), a definitative tripple

Heathen (723), Riverside, New Jersey, USA Aug 31, 2007 THOUGHTS: A nice trippel. If I didn’t know better, it could have been from Belgium. Green Flash continues to impress me. It’s easy to go wrong making a trippel, but when done right like this, it’s one of the better styles. Very flavorful.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a cloudy, light to medium orangey amber with an average, sudzy, white head that mostly diminished except for a thin coating and left virtually no lacing. The aroma was lightly yeasty with grape, apple, white wine, light alcohol and spices. The initial flavor was lightly seet and acidic, while the finish was lightly sweet and moderately acidic and bitter with a long duration. The dominant flavors were white wine and spices. The light to medium body was dry and somewhat syrupy with fizzy carbonation and a lightly astringent and alcoholic finish.
