grant (792), Long Beach, CA/Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA May 15, 2007 Moderately cloudy orange-tinged yellow. Relatively small amount of medium-grained heard which sticks around for quite awhile. Big aroma of vanilla, pipe tobacco, light bubblegum and bananas, augmented with some whiffs of spiciness and yeasty funk as well. Upon initial sip, flavor is more estery than the aroma, coating your mouth with boozy, slightly metallic bananas and fresh bread. Finishes with spicy bitterness and a profound amount of nostril-searing alcohol, plainly evident even at the lower end of the temperature range sampled. The carbo levels are right but the roughness at the end makes the finish almost abusive.
