Creamy mouthfeel though lagerish in the finish. Satisfying, orange and peach and bannana, honey and sugar, with lace and nice head. Aromas are yeasty and orange, with alcohol.I still never met a trippel I did not like.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 15, 2007 Moderately cloudy orange-tinged yellow. Relatively small amount of medium-grained heard which sticks around for quite awhile. Big aroma of vanilla, pipe tobacco, light bubblegum and bananas, augmented with some whiffs of spiciness and yeasty funk as well. Upon initial sip, flavor is more estery than the aroma, coating your mouth with boozy, slightly metallic bananas and fresh bread. Finishes with spicy bitterness and a profound amount of nostril-searing alcohol, plainly evident even at the lower end of the temperature range sampled. The carbo levels are right but the roughness at the end makes the finish almost abusive. jefcon (998), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 9, 2007 Golden with a thick blanket of snow-white head. Aromas of peach, dandelion, coriander. Smooth and full on the tongue with a long, somewhat creamy finish. The hops lend lots of aromatic flavors -- floral and herbal -- and the alcohol cuts right through them. A decent, but very American, trippel. hoplover406 (204), Crofton, Maryland, USA

This was decent not spectacular. Mellow aroma of hops and yeast. Taste was spicy with yeast and a little hops on the end. Decent, but there are many better Tripels to be had out there. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2007 Wow, this beer was great! I sampled it poured out from a 22 ounce bottle. The color was a cloudy, light to medium amber with a very big, foamy, off-white head. The aroma was controlled with hops, both fruity and floral, with undertones of yeast and caramel malt. It’s taste was great with good sweetness underlying a sour-bitter mix. Texture was full, smooth, and slightly creamy with average carbonation and a subtle fizzyness. A great bottled beer, which is surprisingly potent. DYCSoccer17 (2189), Davis, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2007 22 ounce bottle purchased at Nugget on Covell in Davis, CA. Aroma is quite sweet, sugary, with some candied banana yeasty esters present. Light clove spiciness with some milkiness, too. Mildly hazy golden-honey body present with a decently frothed white-colored head. Lively, sharp carbonation to start, which becomes a little spicy and then has some estery banana-like flavors towards the middle. This gives way to a very creamy, rich, maltiness that is somewhat milky in flavor. Some sweet notes show up in the finish with just a hint of lingering hops. This beer creates a nice warming sensation. Not overly complex, but quite enjoyable. bhensonb (4244), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 2, 2007 Double-deuce at wine frig temp. Delicious aroma of spicy hop and a light touch of ripe fruit - peach, pear... Nice hazy amber color; bits of yeast in suspension. Nice white head that lessened, but stayed, and did some fine lacing. Starts a bit spicy, then did some complex altering impressions of spice and ripe fruit. Very smooth. Nice mouthfeel. The spice carries into the finish, and finally some bitter arrives. Real ale. Real tasty. Better than a whole lot of Belgians. Funny thing - what jarspag said below - the underlying alcohol effect is something like a malt liquor - thankfully this brewer used some decent yeast and hop in abundance.
