crizay (1069), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Dec 10, 2006 Thanks to IBrew2or3. Golden orange pour nice white head. Aroma is very hoppy. Flavor is sweet hops, orange citrus mostly with grapefruit and pine also coming through. This beer taste dry hopped to hell and back, hops dominate the whole thing and nothing else really comes through. Not really on with the style, it just didn’t seem right.
aplusbreaks (20), , Colorado, USA Jun 29, 2008 pours a golden/amber haze with a small dense white head, which turns into more of a ring than a head. Aroma is sweet and slightly yeasty. Good flavors, typical belgain style yeasts coming through and some nice spice. Finish kind of leaves something funky in the back of your mouth. BMan1113VR (590), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Jun 28, 2008 On tap at Stone. Pours with a light, white head covering a golden body. Rich, spicey and yeasty aroma (clove and coriander are at the forefront). Taste is sweet and a bit fruity. Dry mouthfeel, and to style, lively carbonation. Drink4Satan (444), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Jun 18, 2008 Pours a hazy, visibly effervescent gold colour with a thick, dense white head. The aroma is mostly apple/pear, peppery belgian yeast, clove and wheat. The flavour is zesty and fruity with a dry, yeasty finish. The booze isn’t hidden very well, but it accompanies the flavour profile nicely. The apple/pear complex from the saaz hops hits you in the initial taste, moving into that typical bubble-gum yeast flavour in the finish. It could use a bit more carbonation. PilsnerPeter (1311), Flushing, New York, USA Jun 5, 2008 Bottle: Nice hazy golden, evident lively carbonation and a small but strong white head. Aroma has some Belgian pale malts along with sage, mild bubblegum and peppery herbal hints. The carbonation is lively at first, then it mellows to a creamy feel. Somewhat earthy flavor. Has some sweet notes upfront of honey and mild bubblegum. There’s some spices, dirty herbal hops, and peppery alcohol that come through to balance and make it drinkable; though it is a bit simple. larryLSB (12), La Selva Beach, California, USA May 30, 2008 22 oz bottle, poured hazy golden color. Good nose with tropical aroma. Excellent flavor, medium to full body, and thick texture. Overall an excellet beer, going very well with tonights Corralitos pizza (apple smoked sausage and apples).
