Bomber poured a bubbly amber-gold, thick foamy white head. Nose was yeast and hints of citrus. Taste was all yeast, and there is apple in the back ground. Solid effort for a style I am not too fond of. scrizzz (1353), kirkland, Washington, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 13, 2006 Clear gold with abundant carbonation and a moderate stable head. Spicy, light caramel and cotton candy aroma. Strangely, I get a hint of coffee too. Sweet and spicy flavor. Floral, bread and yeast notes. Finishes spicy and earthy. Heavy bodied. Nice enough Tripel though lacking some of the delicacy of others. Beerman6686 (1316), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Highly filtered, dainty orange body. Small frothy head. Mild aroma - some floral notes and yeast. The flavor is fruity and musty. There’s something like sweet-n-low in there too - it just doesn’t taste quite right to me. Bitter finish. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Slightly hazy orange color with small white head. Strong orange aroma with yeast, spice, slight earthiness. Orange flavor with easrth, dough, spice and yeast, too much. Creamy medium body. Overall very astringent. TChrome (1303), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Beer pours up the appropriate apricot color with a big, almost Belgian sized, egg white head that is nicely retained. Aroma is impressive, with subtle notes of pear, nice earthy yeastiness and spices. Flavor is initially lightly sweet then there is a big yeast kick that I really like. Also, a significant spicy hop kick in the end that is indeed unusual for the style, but that I personally like. Doesn’t follow strict Tripel style guidlines, but rated on its own merit, I like. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2009 Bottle sample at the Green Flash/New Holland tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 7.23.09. Semi-cloudy orange color with a huge off-white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast that is light on the banana and pleasant. Also some sweet malt and hops in there. Sweet malt flavor with some alcohol, a bit of hop and some fruit. Pretty good for a style I typically don’t care for.
