| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2008 22 oz. bottle poured into trappist glass- poured a slightly cloudy copper orange, low carbonation, whisps of white on top of the liquid surface for a head, some lacing. Aroma of yeast, oranges, and coriander. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, malt seems to get lost a little in the commotion of various spices in the middle, finish is warming and acidic. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2008 Pours a coppery burnt orange, cloudy with a lasting moderate white head. Aroma is blend of Belgian tripel and IPA, but not as pungent as either. aroma of citrus, earthy grain, hay, flowers, uncooked bread dough, and spruce. Tastes of doughy malt, hay, grass, earth, tangy yeast, flowery hops and vague citrus. Finishes mainly with the pungent yeast flavor but more citrus hops, grass and earth than most tripels finish with. The yeast seems cleaner, however which I don’t prefer. Medium bodied and soft carbonation make this easily drinkable for me. Decent beer that I’d drink again. djd07 (757), Houston, Texas, USA
