On tap at PP solana. Cloudy golden with a thin white head. Smells of yeast, banana, and yeast. Sweet citrus fruit and spice. Very smooth on your palate. Cobweb lacing very cool. Good balanced long finish. Good tripel from a great brewery!

A decent belgian. Pours an orange color with a white tan. Smells and tastes of green apples. Slightly hoppy, with a nice finish. Not super interesting, but refreshing.

The most eye cacthing thing was the head, it was increadible tall and soapy looking. It sat atop a beer that was the color of peach blush. very little carbs. Aroma was of malts bright hops and spice. Taste is pretty good but one of the first things I noticed was a pretty good, wide open alcohol taste. Boozey. A ton of malts and a ton of hops with a lite sprinkling of spices. Yeasty.
On the palette the beer was semi-dry and the lack of carbs gives the beer a slick stickiness.
I thought this beer okay. I think there is too much alcohol in the taste and I thought it lacks depth in flavor.

650ml bottle. Brilliant honey gold colour with a fluffy pillow of loose white foam and lots of stonefruit aromas including peach, nectarine and apricot. Strong in the mouth and silky smooth. Great flavour and the high alcohol content doesn’t smack you in the face straight up. Tread carefully though.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Maris (545) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - MAY 13, 2012
From a 1 Pt 6 Fl Oz bottle on 13/5/2012 (shared with Butz). Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a small head. Has a sharp fruity aroma with some orange peel and Belgian yeast. The flavour is primarily citrus fruit and some apple and pear, with some bready, yeasty and strong spicy notes. Has a quite a nice sweet sour balance. This is surprisingly subtle for something that’s 9.7%. While not my favourite style of beer, this is none the less very good stuff.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden color. Aroma of lemon, pepper, coriander, grain. Flavor is spice, grape, lemon, alcohol, pepper, grass. A bit more hops than usual for a Tripel.

65 cl bottle @ O’Hara’s Freehouse. Rated on 24.02.2011
Aroma is fruity with soapy citrus – rather typical to a tripel. Flavour is slightly sweet with fruits and soapy citrus. A decent American tripel-clone that does not reach the top.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ALLOVATE (1716) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - APR 17, 2012
Hazy orange body with fine, thin streams of carbonation. Head holds proudly high for the length; a loose plume of white that laces well. Malty thick, sweet, biscuity nose on first whiff. Well spiced, fruit punch of peaches, apricot, canteloupe, bitter, raw herbs and grass shines through as it settles. In the mouth it has citrus candi, sauvignon grapes and herbal, weedy hops. Modest, light bitterness to the swallow with an odd smoky, phenolic edge. Alcohol all but non-existent. Medium light body and racy in mouthfeel, very dry, vinous and piney finish with a hint of camphor like that found in Fly-spray - batbowww! Doesn’t flow like a good Tripel should. Still a decent effort overall. My partner loved it, and that is all that’s important! (1 pint, 6fl.Oz, no date stamp, Mane Liquor, Belmont)

Pours a hazy golden yellow with small white head. Fruity aroma. Flavor is sweet and mildly bitter with a spicy finish. Full bodied. Very complex and interesting flavor profile. This is pretty good.

Good beer but too much of a focus on the hops and not enough focus on the yeast. Still very refreshing and interesting.
