This West Coast-Style India Pale Ale is extravagantly hopped, full flavored, medium bodied and copper colored. A menagerie of hops is combined throughout the brewing process to impart specific characteristics. Hops used include Simcoe for a unique fruitiness and grapefruit zest, Columbus for strong hop pungency, Centennial for pine and citrus notes, and Cascade for floral aroma.

Deep copper color, thick foamy head. Hops come through on the nose and mouth. Smooth medium body. Much stronger in flavor and alcohol than your typical IPA. Damn good!

Bottle acquired in trade with DarkElf (thanks!). Poured a dark copper color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of citrus (oranges), pine, grapefruit and somewhat spicy. Tastes of grapefruit, citrus, pine and light caramel. Lightly sweet and ending on a not over the board bitterness.

Pours a medium light amber with minimal head but obvious lacing. Nice fresh hop aroma. Only slightly bitter to taste and overall a tame but exceedingly drinkable brew. Nice clean floral hop finish.

Tasted on Tap at 2005 OBF. Orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, sweet and citrusy. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity, citrusy and floral. Medium bitter IPA. Nice balanced. Nice sweet malts. Good west coast IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Had a citrus aroma to it. Copper body with an off-white head. Seemed to have a hop drived flavor with a slight bitterness. Somewhat of a dry aftertaste but, overall, not a bad beer.

(Thanks to DarkElf for this bottle!!)Copper color with a fat, foamy head. Dank hoppy nose with notes of malty sweetness. Grapefruity flavors with enough malts to even things out. Very enjoyable IPA.

Bronze color, sediment rich color, off-white head, nice lacing. Nose of bright grassy and grapefruity hops. The flavor is nicely balanced, a bit of caramel with lots of hops. Finishes tangy, good. I think this is very freshly hopped with a little lack of bitterness but stays super tasty. This is what IPAs should be.

Bottle: Courtesy of DarkElf via trade. Loaded with citrus and grapefruit hops and enough sweetness for balance. Pours a transparent amber with a yellowish-white head. Slight webbing for lacing, but not good enough for a 5 in appearance. Lots of citrusy sweetness up front with a monster hop finish. This IPA is just loaded with hops and has just enough sweetness for balalnce. Hops linger for some time in the aftertaste. Excellent IPA and significantly underrated.

This is a very well made, C-hop explosion, west coast IPA. Pours a light maple syrup amber with a fluffy, mildly rocky head. Pungent hop aromas greet you from the giddyup, almost making your eyes water. Nice malt bone to this, certainly a little caramel stickiness to balance the hops. The favor abounds with lemon, grapefruit and grass. The addition of Simcoe really adds to the flavor and makes it more of snakebiter than just all cascades and centennials. Slight hop burn lingers. A fine IPA, nicely balanced and insanely hopped. My kind of brew! Thanks to DarkElf.

Pungent hop aroma. this poured nice and gave off a smell I didn’t have to lean in to pick up. Amber with a HUGE fluffy head, almost two fingers, that stayed around. Very hoppy initial taste that goes though some sweet grapefruit and rind flavors and finishes back on the hop flavor, but oddly this is not overly bitter. I am shocked this isn’t even higher than the current and respectable overall of 82. I’d think the hopheads would have this at 90+, but I guess the lack of any real bitterness hurts it. Pretty nicely done.
