As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest, and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

Excelente!

Thanks to spinrsx for this. Pours cloudy deep gold with a small white wisp. Aroma is big grapefruit and pine hops. Taste is intense grapefruit hop bitterness and flavouring. Really nice.

No idea this was a different rate....anyway it pours out a dark golden color with a moderate head. Aroma is of resin, citrus, light grass, some mild sweetness. taste is acidic hops a decent punch of piney/citrusy hops light floral notes and a mild lingering sweetness blends in there briefly before being outshined by the hops. Solid

>> Thank you DTF! Rich creamy off-white foam atop deeper orange amber. Nose is sticky strawberry, probably not so fresh. Taste is sticky, dusty, spicy, toffee, orange peel, bitter crust. Too full bodied and stomach heavy for me without bright hop aromas. Almost more hoppy amber/red. Would like to re-rate a fresher sample.

FROTHINGSLOSH (5136) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2015
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a huge creamy orange-white head that lingered forever and left exceptional lacing. The aroma was bitter pine, a bit of caramel, resin and was fairly sweet. The flavor was very bitter with pine, resin, tropical fruits, sugar, caramel and a yeasty note. Turns a bit dry on the long pine and resin finish. Moderately full bodied. The original was significantly better.

On draft The West Coast IPA pours a clear caramel bronze color with a decent ivory head that lasts a fair while. The aroma is citrus, pine and honey with bread. The flavor is honey, citrus and pine with a bit of caramel and bread. Overall this is a solid brew.

Âmbar claro, levemente turva, boa formação e estabilidade do lúpulo. Aroma bem carregado de lúpulo, frutas cítricas e abacaxi, picante e resinoso. Corpo médio-alto, amargor muito intenso e prolongado. Aftertaste seco, amargor crescente e prolongado, Cerveja maravilhosa.
