If you are drinking this one in Europe, chances are you should be rating under this entry:

As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest, and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

Pours a light copper color with a floral aroma. Taste is slightly bitter with a grapefruit and citrus flavor. A light hoppy beer for the style.

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange with a rocky taupe head. Wonderfully fragrant tropical fruit hops in nose. Bittersweet citrus hops balanced by a caramel malt backbone. Complex and spicy with loads of juicy, tropical, peppery hops. Finish has a sticky mouthfeel and resiny notes. Long bitter aftertaste. A hop lovers nirvana. Nice clinging lace stays all the way to the end.

I think I liked this better as a regular IPA but I like regular IPA better than IIPA generally these days, which hasn’t always been the case but I digress. This is clear bright orange in the glass w/ a foamy head. There’s a nice citrus and tropical fruit character to this along w/ a hint of savory pine but it’s just a little bit sweet and heavy for my taste. It’s not the kind of thing you want to toss back nor does the flavor profile beg you to take your time and sip it slowly. It seems to be a well-made beer overall w/ no off flavors or anything but I could take this or leave it as it is.

At the Wyoming brewer’s fest it’s a clear bet with a white head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is a nice string grapefruit flavor that presents itself and slowly gets bitter on the palate
