As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest, and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

Very beautiful beer with golden color and billowing carbonation. Aroma is strong pine and grapefruit. Flavor is even more lemon and pine. Beer has a lot of hop mouthfeel. Very well done IPA, one of the best.

12 ounce bottle poured into a pint. Big piney hop flavors and aromas and well balanced. Love this beer.

Keg at South Beach Grille, Ocean Beach, 13/11/14. Clear golden amber with a decent eggshell white covering that retains well. Nose is bitter hops, caramel malt, grapefruit, orange pith, straw, citric peel. Taste comprises earthy hops, grapefruit, light mineral notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Solid West Coast IPA.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured cloudy, orange, big tan head and lots of lacing on the snifter. Aroma is loaded with hops and citrus fruit notes. Taste is bitter and hoppy but well balanced with sweet malty notes; dry finish. Very pleasant and enjoyable.

22 oz bottle- Pours cloudy orange with a nice pillowy white creamy head. Aroma is typical IPA, tropical fruit, citrus, hops, sweet malt. The taste is better, in your face citrusy hops, grapefruit, mango, melon, all balanced by nice sweet light malt. I do wish there was more of a dry finish, I love a bone dry IPA, this is tasty though, as you drink the bitterness builds with every sip, i liked that. Body is medium and mouthfeel is slightly sticky. Enjoyed, but I have to admit I expected more from such a flagship brew.

Poured a deep honey color with a fair white head which lingered.......aroma is cascade citrus........taste is citrus, bread, pine, doughiness, finishing with bittering......fairly well balanced for a large IPA, but could do without the dough taste near the end, but still well done.

Grapefruit and pine intermingle. Slightly hazy orange with smallish white head. Flavor is clean, overt citrus with moderate low pine. Bittering is moderate to moderate high.
