(This is the new recipe for West Coast IPA, now an Imperial IPA)

If you are drinking this one in Europe, chances are you should be rating under this entry:

As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest, and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

Medium amber, clear, little lace and occasional bubbles. Medium body, moderate flavor, lingering aftertaste. Bitter but well balanced by an off-dry and delicious background. Hoppy, malty, grapefruity, Very tasty and well rounded beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear darker golden color with white head. Citrus, lemon and grapefruit, pine, and some dankness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice resinous hop bite. Refreshing.

Bottle via Albertsons. A dark golden-honey color with a massive, frothy beige head. Tons of thick sticky lacing. The scent of citrus and pine takes over, its not overly potent, but it does have a sweet sticky piney punch. Very smooth taste for supposedly 95 IBUs... pine and citrus, tropical fruit. On the back end there is an herbal, iced tea influence. A nice balance. I was hoping for more hops here, but overall a pleasant west cost IPA.

Really nice. I like this more than the West Coast IPA. Some more citrus hops in this. I like this, Green Flash does it right. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Harvest Market. Medium golden color with a decent sized off white head. Lots of pine and plenty of bready caramel. Pricey, but a nice drinker.

12oz bottle. Amber pour with some lacing and a decent small head. Aromas are a tame mixture of earthy, herbal and citrus hops, with some malts in the back. Taste is out front bitterness followed by sweet malts. The grapefruit like bitterness is from start to finish. Ending slightly dry, and clean.

Reddish gold colour with tiny white head. Aroma and flavours are tropical fruity, with prevailing mango notes. You can also flavours hops, citrous, pinapple, some spices etc. Bitterness is well balanced. Very tasty Imperial IPA.

Ruby-orange and clear. Thick aroma: some citrus zest, a little dank, grassy too. Very dry, pine/grass flavor, quite bitter. Foamy.
