3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2014 Aroma is citrus, floral and vaguely boozy. Flavor is bigger includes citrus, pine, resin, tea and pear. Malt back is barely there but fits just fine. All in all I prefer this to the original single and find it worthy of its roots.

Pours cloudy amber. Aroma has a lot of hops, fruity and floral. Taste is hoppy, and you can tell is a strong beer. Full body.

2/23/15. Bomber. Rating this as a DIPA, I'm not too impressed. Pours and tastes like a solid IPA, but doesn't offer what I want to see in a Double. Hops over-run the alcohol and doesn't let the bitters round and spread. Serious bitter interest but a thin mouthfeel.

Crystal-clear ruby-orange with a thick head. Smell is subtle; tropical fruit, grass, warm grain. Taste is warm, dry, complex, hoppy, lots of citrus, pine and grass notes. Good body, bitter finish.

This is probably old but I hope note. burnt orange 3 finger off white head. This is a pretty resinous west coast style beer. taste is a lot of burnt malts, a bit of cheese, some intense orange peel and pine cone finish. will re-rate next time I’m in California.

Looks like an IPA in Beast Mode with that rich copper colour and it sure smells like it. There’s tons of pine with a rock solid malt background, and it’s really smooth and sticky at the same time. A powerful beer

Excellent IPA. Very citrus centric with hints of alcohol, tropical fruit, and a bit of pine. Malt balance. Great lacing, beautiful in the glass. Long not quite dry, obviously bitter, finish. Overall it’d wear your palate out but you’d still pound these anyway!

Birra discreta, ma preferivo la vecchia. Qui il citra da tanto odore, ma l’amaro è blando e la birra è tenue, anche se è di buona bevuta. L’alcool non emerge e la base ai crackers è piacevole. Buona birra.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Caramel, light hoppiness. Aroma is more hoppy, grass and grapefruit, and it’s there in the taste but subdued. Nice.

Mild pine hop aroma, pours a clear amber with a dusting of white head. Lots of hop flavor in this, with mango, pine, lemon, and more coming through with each sip. Just enough caramel malt to support it, as it fades into a bitter finish. A really solid IIPA.
