4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
The beer pours in an oily stream, yielding foggy amber liquid, microscopic bubbles, lumpy eggshell froth, and sillystring lace. Jubilant yet controlled hop aromas, bright with citrus, fir and spruce, sharp grassy and damp earth scents, and eccentric footnotes of caraway and cedar cigar box. Caramel and lemon intro is followed by a burst of lush pineapple and mandarin orange flavors with a superdry resiny edge. A ginlike, warm clovey/floral spice adds teeth to a chewy malt backdrop that reminds me of rustic seed-studded bread. An endless smooth smoky bitterness features mustardseed burn and oaky aftertaste. The beer is medium bodied, with carbonation so fine that it goes unnoticed, resulting in a texture like nubby raw silk. An oustanding beer, and maybe the best commercial IPA Iíve tasted.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle: Pours a hazy amber with a medium dark ivory head. The aroma is all hops with citrus and pine coming through. The taste has orange, lemon, and a bitter resiny character. Grapefruit shows through on the finish. The palate is very good and has a medium body. This is a very good IPA albeit a little one dimensional with the hops.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle. Pours a dark amber color. With a nice white head of moderatly sized bubbles. Smells of pure hops and a hint of citrus. This is my favorite tasting IPA. If you love hops this is the IPA for you. Palate is pretty standard nothing special. Good carbonation. If you like a bitter IPA you could drink this all night.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz. Wow. Pours strikingly dark hazy amber with a thinner beige head. Aroma is mostly pine and hops. It struck me first as drinking straight pine sap, the hops are the main feature in this beer. Possibly to the beerís own fault, I found the aroma much more interesting than the taste or palate as they seemed a bit one-dimensional from all the hops. A good and somewhat distinguished beer, I canít see myself drinking this too often.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle->tulip: yierlds a large, frothy, off-white head that exhibits fair lacing with the body being slightly murky. The body is lightly cloudy and the malt and hops are in excess here, which is a REAL plus IMO. Not too much carbonation with a bitter finish thatíll stick around withíya for a bit. Moderately acidic and bitter. This beer yields a super aroma and has some bitterness to not be ashamed of. A pretty great beer that should be available in more places than it is, b/c life is too short to drink mediocre beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
reddish brown appearance with hoppy nose. flavor has very good balance for an ipa with huge hop appearance. great beer only possible improvement could be more malt/alcohol to balance it a little better

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a rich golden-amber color. Cream-colored thick head. Overwhelming (in a good way) citrus hops in the nose. Great floral and citrus hop flavor. A little caramel maltiness in the middle, but book ended by great bitterness. Leaves a nice grapefruit on the palate. One of my favorite IPAs.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Two great IPA/IIPAs in a row. This one very piney with a burst of grapefruit. Holds flavor well but but a little thin on the mouth.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pour is a lovly orangish amber and holds a nice and dense two fingers of foam. Aromas are heavily pine and grapefruit with a touch of sweet malt promised. Flavor is wonderfully hoppy with a perfect ammount of malt to balance out the bitterness. Fabulous.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
6 pack from Caponeís in Norristown. Had everything I expected in an IPA with slightly more bitterness. Worth a try.
