I love this beer! When we lived in SD, Green Flash was in the same business park my wife worked in. As such, this was often (very happily) our home tap. I do like hoppy beers, and this one never got old to me.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz. Bottle: Balls out hops aroma. Smells of hops, pine, grapefruit, and citrus. Very nice aroma. Poured amber in color with a large, rocky, creamy, off-white/orange-hued head that diminished but lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Hazy. Slightly sparkling. A few medium-sized particles. Heavily bitter flavor. Tastes of hops, grapefruit, citrus, pine, and resin, with a bit of caramel too. Medium body. Lightly sticky texture. Average carbonation. Hoppy, citrus finish.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Iím a fan of hops, and this beer smells good. Itís totally unbalanced - pine, grapefruit, grassy, resinous. I can go with the aroma, but the finish is pretty intense. I bought a case of this, and Iím going to have to drink it cold.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a cloudy burned orange with a thick marshmellow cream head that stays the whole time and has nice lacing. Lively carbonation is visable. Smells awesome. Huge hops with citrus rind that holds it own and a hint of malt. Tastes of HOPS and also tastes of HOPS. Piney, citrusy, grapefruit and HOPS. Feels thin but full in the mouth. Good carbonation and a finish with a bite. If your a hop fan, this brew will put a pucker then a smile on your face. A must try.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is huge with bright hop scents, its like putting your nose in a bag of fresh hops. Color is a slightly hazy golden/amber with very good carbonation and a thick tight head. Taste is super hoppy and bitter. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a crisp feel then blasts you with big hop flavor and a mellow citrus that ends very bitter. The after taste builds with a flowery hop flavor and a slightly fruity sweetness. This is one of the hoppiest brews I have had, its just amazing that they can get that much flavor in there and not make it overbearing.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Amber colored pour with big, hoppy nose. Exactly what I was looking for. Great green bitterness in the flavor is complimented by a moderate malt that really lets the hops take front seat. Very clean, zero yeast flavors. One of the more bitter IPAs Iíve had, but in this case it doesnít hurt the beer. Reminds me a good bit of dreadnaught. Good stuff!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
The beer pours in an oily stream, yielding foggy amber liquid, microscopic bubbles, lumpy eggshell froth, and sillystring lace. Jubilant yet controlled hop aromas, bright with citrus, fir and spruce, sharp grassy and damp earth scents, and eccentric footnotes of caraway and cedar cigar box. Caramel and lemon intro is followed by a burst of lush pineapple and mandarin orange flavors with a superdry resiny edge. A ginlike, warm clovey/floral spice adds teeth to a chewy malt backdrop that reminds me of rustic seed-studded bread. An endless smooth smoky bitterness features mustardseed burn and oaky aftertaste. The beer is medium bodied, with carbonation so fine that it goes unnoticed, resulting in a texture like nubby raw silk. An oustanding beer, and maybe the best commercial IPA Iíve tasted.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle: Pours a hazy amber with a medium dark ivory head. The aroma is all hops with citrus and pine coming through. The taste has orange, lemon, and a bitter resiny character. Grapefruit shows through on the finish. The palate is very good and has a medium body. This is a very good IPA albeit a little one dimensional with the hops.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle. Pours a dark amber color. With a nice white head of moderatly sized bubbles. Smells of pure hops and a hint of citrus. This is my favorite tasting IPA. If you love hops this is the IPA for you. Palate is pretty standard nothing special. Good carbonation. If you like a bitter IPA you could drink this all night.
