COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s Note: If you had the 8.1% abv version marketed since 2014 as a Double India Pale Ale, this is the wrong beer page. Please rate under Green Flash West Coast IPA (2014 -).

This West Coast-Style India Pale Ale is extravagantly hopped, full flavored, medium bodied and copper colored. A menagerie of hops is combined throughout the brewing process to impart specific characteristics. Hops used include Simcoe for a unique fruitiness and grapefruit zest, Columbus for strong hop pungency, Centennial for pine and citrus notes, and Cascade for floral aroma.

Draught Good amber pour with a nice sized head and good lacing. Piney citrus hop aroma and flavor. Flavor has lots of grapefruit hop. Dry palate. Pretty good IPA.

Great pour with a nice head and lace and a hoppy aroma. Bitter hoppy taste just like an IPA should be.

Bottle. Small ivory fizzy head, fair amount of lacing, floaties, cloudy/hazy, visible carbonation, and an orange hue. Nose was very hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor was extremely hoppy, grapefruit and citrus. Lingering hoppy aftertaste. Hoppy mouthfeel. Medium body. This was just too hoppy for my palate. This is a true hop heads delight for sure.

Aroma was very hoppy, with plenty of citrus, grapefruit in particular. Taste was also hoppy, dry, bitter, but balanced nicely with solid malt presence. Nice.

Bottle. Medium copper-orange color. 1/2"foam that slowly erodes. Hoppy, tinges of orange, faint floral hints. Lightly bitter in taste. Smooth, even body and tangy aftertaste. Solid, not spectacular.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2013 Bottle. Dark orange amber body. Very nice, complex hop nose, with fruit cocktail and grapefruit notes mixed with a resinous pine note. Good combination. Cascade dry hops are all over this one. Palate is richly bitter, but not assertive or corrosive. Chewy and resiny flavor, with some grapefruit acidity and flavor, and a bready, malt note hidden as well. Rich, chewy, sticky, fruity, but not exactly grassy. A wonderful IPA, especially when fresh.

Thanks to realale420, I was able to enjoy this. Amber color with off-white head. Hoppy/citrus nose, flavor is hops, with nice roasted malt balance that leads into that BIG hoppy finish.

Amazing IPA! At first I was skeptical of this beer because I thought the label was awfully gaudy. big hops aroma and beautifully balanced hops and malts. Thick and lush but not too big. Perfect colorful orange body with a gentle head and right in the perfect range for alcohol. Simcoe hop fruitness and Columbus hop piquancy. Tastes like French-kissing God.

12 oz. bottle on 3/17/07 in Colorado. Pours a clear gold with a large white head. Huge fresh hop aroma of citrus and spruce that beckons. Mouthfeel is resinous with a medium body and carbonation. Bitterness is front and center, not necessarily bad, but perhaps a little unbalanced in that regard. Still, this is a very enjoyable IPA.

pours a light hazy amber with a nice foaming head. The aroma is screeming hops... citrus and fresh green, and some fruitiness. flovor is a not as hoppy as it smells, and is held together well with earty malt.
