This hoppy west coast IPA hit the spot after a number of malty beers and a couple shots of whiskey. Notes of grapefruit, Citrusy hops, caramel. Pretty damn good! neepsntatties (350), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 24, 2009 The, "go-to" west coast style IPA of my dear friend, "Mr. Plumpy". And with good reason! Colour... a lovely, dark copper hue with a thick, frothy head. Nose... a bushel basket of fresh grapefruit with some malt on the side. Palate... OK. Now, imagine having your palate fall into that bushel basket just as a vat of ponderosa pine pitch is poured in. And then you drink it! Gad, what a lovely scene, with a decidedly enjoyable bitter finish! Birdiebeagle (820), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA

Produces some spotty lacing. Has a good hoppy aroma. I get citrus, oranges, some malts, and some pine. Has a decent carbonation. The mouthfeel is good. A good bitter hoppy flavor. The alcohol is hidden well. Has a clean crisp taste. The texture is very middle of the road. Has a medium body. Has a good finish with a great aftertaste. Scouser (44), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 21, 2009 Nice honey, orange copper colour, with nice cream coloured lacing. Spicy citus aroma. Very bitter, metallic flavour. Did not like this one, the bitter maettalic flavour was way too much. Hopper (336), San Antonio, Texas, USA

The taste is piney, fruity, citrusy, with a big bitter bite that leads to a dry finish. A good IPA that can get very dry. Fratto (768), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2009 Dark Apricot pour, with dissipating white head. Lots of fresh hop aroma, lots of citrus, lots of grapefruit notes and some slight honeysuckle. Flavor is bone dry tart grapefruit the whole way through, finishing very bitter. Lots of fizz at the start as well. Pretty nice for an IPA
