3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Green Flash West Coast IPA. On tap at Yardhouse Chino. It pours out an amber hue with a sizeable light tan head. The retention and lacing were pretty good. The aroma was very strong. It was very hoppy with pine and citrus notes in the background. Very floral and very nice to the nose. The flavor didn’t disappoint either. Bitter flavor up front, but that’s to be expected. Primarily hoppy to the taste with a lingering sweetness and a bitter bite at the end. The strong flavor is carried well by the medium body of the beer with the mild carbonation to hold to together.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
coppery orange color with off-white foam that although not abundant not disappear in the glass leaving snaps into the vessel walls. The aroma is intense, spicy citrus, with cuts of fresh pine, grapefruit, flowers and final malt nuances, caramel and some alcohol. The palate begins with a torrent of bitter citrus slowly giving way to a mixture of sweetish nuances of caramel and bitter as pine resin malt, grapefruit with a slight alcoholic sensation. But dry finish tour. medium body and moderate carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Oranssinruskea, sameahko olut. Valkoinen, nopeasti häviävä mutta kuitenkin pitsiä jättävä vaahto. Tuoksu hyvin vahva; havuinen ja hedelmäinen. Maku yllättävän katkera jättäen pitkään kestävän katkeran jälkimaun. Greippisyys nousee esiin. Ei ehkä ihan omaan makuun sopivin.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Originally reviewed 6/5/2011.
Very hazy golden body that looks darker because of a slight murkiness. Nice two finger head and beautiful stick-looking lacing.
Smells like a hop monster. Piney and grassy hops. Not even a hint of malt. Just a hint of citrus hops.
Taste is exactly the same as the smell. Strong hop flavors of pine and grass. A brief sweetness of malt and then it gives way to a lingering bitterness. It love the hoppiness, but it’s pretty unbalanced.
Well carbonated and medium bodied, but it’s so high in carbonation it’s tough to tell. Such a low amount of malt that it’s super easy to drink. I could put a bottle away in minutes.
A hop bomb.

Bastante buena.

Pours a beautiful golden orange. Clear but not too frothy. Surprisingly mild aroma. Extra bitter taste that lingers on the palette.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cloudy appearance. Copper color. Two-finger head that holds for quite along time. Spotty lacing. Aroma consist of citrusy hops, grapefruit, and somewhat of a malty backbone. Sticky texture. Medium bodied. Seems to have a more caramelly, vanilla, malty feel to it. Taste like a kicked up peanut butter. It does have a bite in the finish. I love how this beer is all over the map. Great job Green Flash. Thanks for being a west coast brewery.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Old bottle. Hazy amber color with medium beige head. Aroma has grapefruit, peach, apricot, some citrus fruits and resin, with some malty backbone; but is not intense due to the old age. Taste follows the aroma, tropical fruits, sweet citrus fruits and resin, with a kicking bitter aftertaste.
