This West Coast-Style India Pale Ale is extravagantly hopped, full flavored, medium bodied and copper colored. A menagerie of hops is combined throughout the brewing process to impart specific characteristics. Hops used include Simcoe for a unique fruitiness and grapefruit zest, Columbus for strong hop pungency, Centennial for pine and citrus notes, and Cascade for floral aroma.

Ok if you like that in your face Cascade hop bomb soert of IPA. Itís got a great aroma of hops. Taste nothing but hops up front and no back of malt. Itís way off balance but if you like a hop bomb that will numb your mouth here it is.

Bottle. Pours a deep red with medium sized white head. Nose is makt forward with low to moderate grassy hop character. Taste is initially moderately bitter followed by a string malt sweetness. Overall a little sweet and way too under hopped.

Pours slightly hazy amber orange, Two finger head with great lacing. Aroma: grapefruit, pine and herbs. Taste: grapefruit like bitterness with nice sweetness from the malt bill. Palate: Medium body, slightly sticky and lively head. Finishes with just the right bitterness with more citrus and pine notes. A truly World class IPA.

A floral aroma with strong grapefruit overtones and a light sent of apricot among other hop aromas. It has a dark orange, gold color. Itís lively with a white head and some lacing. It has a strong taste of grapefruit, piney hops, floral notes, and a touch of apricot.

355 ml bottle from AEON Liquors @ Jiyugaoka. Pours nice and amber with a small head and great lacing ability. Aroma is strongly hoppy, some grassy/floral herbal hops covering a bit of bready maltiness. Citrus. Taste has many different variations at first - and is mainly formed by different hops. Resins, melon, pine needles - and ensuing bitterness at the end, quite sharp actually. This beer is citric IPA, loaded with hops and hop bitterness, I guess a great example of this West Coast style what it claims to be.

Pours a hazy copperish orange with a nice moussy white head that leaves lots of lace and some particles in suspension. Aroma of pine, resin, grapefruit, sweet pale malts that are all in balance. Taste is a lot of citrus pine, resin, grapefruit, sweet pale malts with a almost dry finish. Medium high carbonation and overall just great balance of malts and hops as its never astringent nor too sweet and the abv is hidden well.

On tap somewhere in Akron, Ohio. Classic deep golden look. Aroma is hope hops hops. Taste is the same though not so fruity. Also finish has a bit of dead coyote in it for some unknown reason. Yuck.

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. The aroma is mostly grapefruit, pine, and toasted grain with some caramel coming in late. A light floral touch lasts throughout the drink. An abundant white head tops a clear, rich amber orange beer. The head retains well, with a creamy puff persisting by the end and it leaves lots of sticky, puffy, "dirty" lacing along the glass. Surprisingly not as bitter as I would expect from an American IPA, but maybe thatís where the "west coast" part comes in, Iíd say medium / medium-low bitterness with a medium sweetness (maybe the higher threshold of medium). The medium full body has an oily texture to it with a decent amount of soft carbonation. The finish is a dry pine and grapefruit zestiness with a dry floral aftertaste that lingers for a while and is rather mellow.

A good IPA, a bit darker than some and a bit sweeter taste but still a good combo ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of citrus, pine, and hops. Pours a murky golden color. This one has lots of sediment for some reason - it tastes fine so I donít think I got a bad or expired bottle. Taste is wonderfully fresh. Citrus fruits, hops, and very little malt which is just how I like it.

Fruits, citrus, pine and caramel in the aroma. Amber with a white head. Medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter. Medium body with a average carbonation. Bitter and dry finish. Overall a nice, fruity IPA.
