amber pour with a barrage of citric & pine hop aromas & flavor. Nice example of the style
robinvboyer (961), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jul 25, 2008 WOW.............my new favorite IPA. For hop heads out there, get this beer!!! Unreal how amazingly hopy this is. I find this is bordering Double IPA territory. WOW!!!!! So hoppy, its almost skunky, i love it!!! JesseM (344), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Jul 25, 2008 12 fl. oz bottle GIVEN to me by Jan Primus (thanks Jan!). Pours a somewhat hazy orange amber with a few floaties. Aroma is ALL about the piney hops, it’s consuming.......Anyways, the flavour is more of the same, quite a bitter bite which is awesome, slightly high carbonation and with some sweetness in the finish, but not necessarily a lot of malts. Slightly boozy after a while too, but still hop ecstasy. Your textbook west coast IPA deliciousness. Furseth (1091), Kungälv, Sweden Jul 23, 2008 Bottle; Hazy yellow colour, with a nice head. Aroma of flowers, citrus, grape. Flavor was fruity, citric mouth feeling, and anice maltynes in a balance. Nice medium body and a thin to medium fruity/citric finish. Nice kidmartinek (656), austin, Texas, USA Jul 22, 2008 Full copper color with a 3/4" off-white head. Strong floral hop aroma with a little spice. Flavor is super bitter, malty, and has notes of pine and citrus. Texture is a little dry and medium-bodied with a clean, bitter finish. Nik925 (52), California, USA Jul 22, 2008 Wonderful IPA, good malt great hop and color. Its not a DIPA and I would say it is pretty balanced. The malt profile is different than most IPAs, although I think Bear Republic has something similar. Taste ends on an unfinished bitter/alcohol note that undercuts the enjoyment, but still a fantastic over hopped ipa.
