Listed as 5.8% abv on their chalkboard. Growler filled at the brewpub and consumed later on the same day. Pours a deep brown that allows no light to pass with clear brown edges. There is a moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of malt, light spice and just a bit of fruit. The flavor is malt with spice, and a bit of chocolate and fruit. A touch of smokiness emerges in the aftertaste. Mild-moderate hops bitterness at the finish. Good stuff!

First rating!!! The aroma is chocolate, nuts, slightly spicy. The appearance is an aesthetically pleasing deep brown, reddish hue, off-white head. The flavor is chocolate, nutty, spicy and earthy hops. The finish is an earthy, almost metallic hop (not a fan of ahtanum), but it kind of works here. Medium/thick in body. Pretty interesting.
