Cask - The Plasterers Arms, Norwich. Poured with a creamy, fluffy lasting off-white head leaving a heavy lace; clear but dark brown body. Good roast & light chocolate flavours, some tobacco. Light to medium body, soft palate texture with a lingering, delicate finish. Tasty choccy, roasty balanced mild that does what a mild should.

Cask in London. Redish-brown colour. Dark berries nose with elegant toast malts. Powdery texture with notes of chocolate and dark berries. Smooth mouthfeel, medium sweet and medium bodied. I get little residual sugars. Coffee sneaks in towards the end. Really good mouthfeel. Sweet malt present. Low bitterness as expected. Great beer!

[cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh] Pours deep ruby red with a decent white head. Looks very inviting. Blackberry fruit aroma with a decent amount of sweetness, plus soft roasted malt. On the flavour, this roasty chocolate quality comes out first, before the fruity finish come on afterwards. Quite thin at the end, as it’s a mild, but really drinkable stuff [24062011]
