Cask at cloisters. Amber glow with a small but consistent head. 5% version, says "premier" on the label, possibly different from listed. Sweet citrus hop nose. Taste is quite sweet, peachy fruit with a zesty tang. Muted bitter finish, subtle but long. Nice. Bit one-dimensional.

A straw coloured beer. Didn’t seem to have settled out properly as it was slightly hazy, but that didn’t detract from the enjoyment. Lots of grassy and citric hop character. Some sweetness up front, but finishes resolutely dry. Crisp and refreshing. A nice session beer, definitely straying in to golden ale territory. Cask (gravity dispense) at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival 2005.
